Club Night....Christmas shoebox

It was put club night last Wedsnesday the ladies were given what I've always known as a 'shoebox' project....lots of bits in a bag and then the idea is that they all make a card....this is what the girls were given

This is what the girls came up with, It was amazing how many different styles of cards were made and this is a selection of their cards:

One more club meeting before Christmas and of course it has to be a Christmas theme.

Thank you for stopping by

Snow Globes....

When my friends and I went to the Shepton Mallet Crafts4Crafter show last month we all ended up buying this lovely little snow globe set by Studio Light which had both stamps and the die cuts for the snowglobes...I played with my stamps the next day and I've made about 12 4" x 4"cards so far...there are 3 different design stamps to fit in the snow globe and I really enjoyed playing with them, also picked up the Seasons Greetings and Let it Snow die at Shepton..the little trees are from one of Sue Wilsons sets.

I really ought to make a start on my own Christmas cards, every year I think I will start early and every year its the same a last minute rush...but at least I've got these cards and my jumper cards made..

Thanks for stopping by enjoy the rest of your weekend.

S.U. Christmas Extravaganza day...

I had a fabulous day yesterday crafting at Jenny's Stampin Christmas Extravaganza, we made some lovely projects and cards using the Sprig punch and the Peaceful Noel stamp set.
This beautiful box wreath and scene was my favourite project, it doesn't show but it shimmers beautifully

We decorated this pretty box and made a small wreath for the top

This was one of the cards we made.

This is a lovely idea to give something a small present, we made and decorated this sleeve around a box of Maltesers....

inside of lid of our Malteser box.

Another lovely card using this fabulous reindeer, we stamped the background from our stamp set.
Another project we did was to decorate this little box and we made a lovely Christmas project to go inside but I dont want to show it yet as I am making some as Christmas gifts....but will reveal at a later stage.

Thank you Jenny for a wonderful crafting day....and thank you also to Sue Jenny's mum for making some lovely cakes and keeping us watered with tea and coffee... looking forward to the next Extravaganza day in April...

I came home home all fired up and ready to go!

Winter Sweater

I've really enjoyed playing with this lovely die set its the Winter Sweater set from Elizabeth Crafts...again I've been able to use up scaps of DSP as my cards are only 4" x 4"...
Think I will have to work on the rendeers antlers a bit more but they were a bit fiddly to put on and not always in the right place!....

I had a lovely day yesterday with 3 crafty friends we went to the Shepton Mallet Crafts4Crafters show..as we all  knit and do patchwork as well as crafting it wasn't difficult to spend our  money...

Have a great weekend whatever you are doing..the weather is certainly lovely at the moment may it continue...

Making cards from Scraps and snippets...

Last night was our club night and we used scraps of paper and card to create new cards...as crafter we never throw anything away....
Theres no right or wrong way to use scaps on some cards I've left spaces between placing scraps down on this card I've just butted them up together.

When you have lots of Christmas cards to make sometimes you want something thats very quick and easy to make and this Christmas tree card certainly was quick.
Another bright card using strips of DSP....

I'got lots of tiny LOTV images left over from packs I've bought in the past but they looked great placed in the centre of another scrap card...

There are more cards but I think thats enough....hope its given you a few ideas/

Mermaid.....

Many years ago before all the craft shops popped up I used to used fabric to make cards with and this was some of the fabric, ...the fabric is glued onto the card then cut out.  The background is alcohol inks on acetate with tissue paper, glitter and crystal lacquer, we did it a few years ago at our club night  its very effective and fun to do...the photograph doesnt do it justice as it is very sparkly...the die is a willow branch die I found on the net unbranded....

Hope you all have a good weekend

Christmas card...

I've made a start on my Christmas cards...at club this month we are using up scraps of DSP paper to make cards so I made this Christmas card using the Herringbone technique...will post more samples next week on club day...
Sorry the photograph isn't brilliant to you can see the idea.

The weather has certainly turned chilly so time to get out the 'woollies'

Club night 6" x 6" projects

Wednesday evening was our Club night and the projects were things made from a piece of 6" x 6" DSP...the girls had lots of ideas to choose from..these are just a few of the samples...

These little boxes are useful for small gifts...

These little crackers I think are super either for the Christmass tree or even and table decorations....there are lots more ideas out there on the web so why not have a play..

Sweet little something....

Two cards in a weekbut theres a reason...

I've just booked a craft fair for November so need to top up my cards, I missed last years because of illness so I dont have to make too many....
Love the Stampin up Sweet little something stamp set and its so easy to stamp if you have a stamping aid I have Tim Holts which I find brilliant...

Sympathy....

It's one of those cards we don't like to make but sometimes have to.

I found a Spirelli circle already done and the black flatback Cabachon it my bit box so have used them to create my card...not my normal sympathy card but its different.

Sweet owl....

We've been away for a few days visiting our oldest friends we had a lovely time and I came home with lots of crafty stuff from my friend Gill.... Gill was the one who got me into card making well over 20 years ago and as I remember she started off with a shoe box containing her stamping stuff...now ...like a lot of us has her own craft room, just wished we could have stayed longer but babysitting duties were required back home...

This little owl image and frame from came from Gill, I've mounted it onto gold card (which doesn't photograph very well) I treated myself to a stepper die, so  popped him on there the tiny flowers came from my bit box along with the green stem.

Thank for popping by

A Rose is a Rose

Whilst clearing my desk I found some images I had stamped a long time ago so as I am in 'tidy up' mode I've used them to make a card...I love this this colour combination, I've made several in the past!

Have a good weekend, whatever you are doing..

Walking the dog...

I dont very often buy magazines but I did like this particular one which came with a this lovely Tattered Lace die......The background is one I found on the web and popped into into craft Artist and resized it as I wanted it to look like a walk in the park.

My lovely friend Gill very kindly sent me this big tree die cut and also the black background die cut which was perfect to make up the card... added a scrap piece of embossed card which matched her dressed and also some SU pleated ribbon which I had left...  Unfortunately my camera hasn't picked up the gold sentiment very well.

Making the most of being in my craft room before it gets too hot this afternoon.

Have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing

Eclipsed Love....

When sorting through some of my stash last week I came across a box with a lot of LOTV pre coloured images which are quite large.....so as I am on a clearing out mode I thought I ought to use up these lovely images... for this one I've used my Memory Box 1" Alphabet dies to make an Eclipse card....thinking about it I should really have darken the colours on the image as they are quite subtle but didn't think of that at the time!
I will pop initials on the hearts when I send this anniversary card out...
