Sweet owl....

We've been away for a few days visiting our oldest friends we had a lovely time and I came home with lots of crafty stuff from my friend Gill.... Gill was the one who got me into card making well over 20 years ago and as I remember she started off with a shoe box containing her stamping stuff...now ...like a lot of us has her own craft room, just wished we could have stayed longer but babysitting duties were required back home...

This little owl image and frame from came from Gill, I've mounted it onto gold card (which doesn't photograph very well) I treated myself to a stepper die, so  popped him on there the tiny flowers came from my bit box along with the green stem.

Thank for popping by

Owl Birthday....

Just loved these two little owls, its a  pre-coloured image that I found on the web...I have used them before for an Anniversary card but this time I've made a birthday card using Marianne Creatables die LR0383...just inked the die before I took it out out of the die. The photograph isn't good as its a miserable day and tghe light isn't good.

Thanks for looking

Bah Humbug.....

Bah Humbug challenge this week is Stitching/Faux Stitching. Have used the this lovely owl stamp but unfortunately it doesn't have a name on it, all I do know is that I bought it from Simply Stamps.
Stamped onto cream pearlised card and lightly coloured the image and have 3D the middle owl, used Snowtex on the branches to give the effect of snow. Backing paper is from stash, Pricked card across the centre then used a black fine liner pen to give the impression of stitches also added ribbon.
Martha Stewart wide trellis punch along the bottom, sentiment computer generated, card candy.
