Daffodil Delight....

Sorry I've not been blogging much recently, I haven't been idle but I've been doing other things hence not spending time in the craft room, that's the problem with more than one hobby...

This lovely daffodil card was made at a coffee and card morning with the lovely Jill Lackford on Saturday.....I only send one Easter Card a year and that's to a dear friend so thought this would be ideal... SU cards tend to be 6" x 4" which are cards I don't make so I've put another mat behind the front of the made and made it into a 5" x 7"...

I have got other things on my desk waiting to be finished off so must get down to completing the cards...

Thanks for taking to time to stop by

Anne

Christmas cards..1,2,3 & 4

I have four Christmas cards to show you today....When I got my last two Stampin up orders from my friend Jill of Jill stamps up  she very kindly gave me a little 'thank you' envelope and inside were these lovely images the little owl is from the Hostess set Cozy Critters and the reindeer, Santa and ginger breadman from the Cookie Cutter set.
My box with the Christmas snippets of paper and die cuts is pretty full so decided to make small 5 x 5 cards so I could use up some of my festive papers...
The little owl branch is an old Marianne die and the little robin I made is from the little bird in the Thoughtful Branches set (which I have yet to use)....

Love the little reindeer just coloured his antlers and a little bit of glossy accents on his red nose...
Little little Santa fits nicely in a round die cut and made a lovely little bauble card.
This little gingerbread made is really cute...I even used the little blue envelope that my little images came in its the blue backing behind the gingerbread man...
Four more little Christmas cards for my Christmas card pile...

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Special Card.....

Would you believe it I've actually managed to make a card in between seeing the grandchildren....
This card is for a very special lady and is one of my oldest friends, we've known each other for about 39 years...she loves bears so I thought I would use this gorgeous bear stamp from Stampin Up called Babby Bear
I''ve used a mixture of Sue Wilsons dies, stampin up card and paper.
I am so pleased I decided to buy this stamp set and I think it will get a lot of use..

Thanks for popping by

Stampin Up Make & Take....

I had a small Stampin Up party for my friend Jill of Jill Stamps Up who has recently become a Stampin Up Demonstrator.  We made this pretty card as our make and take...I love all the new colours...  Jill also had a lovely selection of cards she had made to inspire us as well doing demonstrations with the Envelope Punch Board.
Thank you to my friends who came and thank you to Jill....

The sun is shining here so although I should be sewing this afternoon I think I will spend some time in the craft room..

Having you are all having a great weekend whatever you are doing...

Christmas JOY.....

Its been just over a week since my last post but we've been away with friends on the Isle of Wight for a week on  pre-Christmas break which was fabulous.

My Christmas cards this year are going to be very quick and easy and also like a lot of people I am cutting down on hand crafted cards purely because of the postal charges..

I've made this card using paper from my stash...dotty Embossing folder and Memory Box Alphabet letters and for the 'O' I've used one of baubles from the Stampin Up 'Christmas Collectables' set and SU border punch.

I will get around to your blogs to see what you've been up to but I'm afraid the washing and ironing has to come first..lOl..lOl...

Stampin Up Extravaganza day.....

We had a fabulous day yesterday yesterday with Jenny and made lots of lovely things...

Loved this big box we decorated and also loved the colours that Jenny has chosen...
We made 3 little cards to go into the little sqaure box that we decorated.
The band around the box actually slides off so you can open the box.

We had a choice of making the gift box like this or we could stand it on end and punch a hole through the top and this actually takes a small bottle of wine which is such a lovely idea....I will be making more of these.

                                           *********
My lovely daughter Sally made us some beautiful cup cakes....and if you look closely at the ones with the mauve tops she has put the name of our craft group 'Crafty Bunch' on the icing, needless to say these didn't stay on the table for long...thank Sally they were delicious....

Its a miserable morning here in Somerset, we've had some heavy rain and its windy...so think I will craft again today...not that I need an excuse....

Ship Ahoy.....

I always find mens card a problem but this Spellbinders Cogs die makes a brilliant ships wheel and as I already had this Stampin Up image coloured with pencils just popped it on the larger cog die. For the waves I've used a an EK Success border punch, the anchor is from Die-Namics sea charms set, sentiment is from Craftwork cards...

Hope you all have a great weekend...and its lovely to have it a bit cooler...

S U Extravaganza Day.....

What a fabulous day we all had yesterday..We were given the S.U. 'Papillion Potpourri'  stamp set and this is what we produced..
A fabulous Memo board with a laminated middle so we can write on it and then wipe off...also the bottom as you can see is magnetic...a very handy note pad that we can use to write down our 'Wish List'..lOl...lOl.

We also made four cards, mine aren't perfect but will use them as 'samples' as we do work to a time table and don't always have time to get perfection!
The little tub we also decorated but being pastel colours and a dull and dark day today my camera doesn't like it....we also decorated the lid which I forgot to photograph...
Everyone went home very happy and I think a little tired as we do work very hard....Jenny always has fabulous cards and projects samples to show us so our wish lists are always growing.....needless to say I am looking forward to seeing the UPS delivery man this week armed with lots of new goodies......

Daisy card.....

Firstly thank you to all my lovely blogging friends for helping me with my posting problems on blogger.
Jules of Always with a Heart  put me  me onto the Web Resizer website after I had problems with blogger saying I had used up my quota of space...this site resizes your photos so easily....If you are having problems visit her website as she has step by step instructions.....

Well we survived our days of baby sitting but came home very tired...we but all had a lovely time and the children were so good.

Just about finished off the Angel costume, our little angel is coming tomorrow with her wings for me to stitch on so hopefully I will have a photograph later in the week.

Back to my card....Whilst clearing some cupboards out I found my old Sizzix daisy die which I haven't used for ages, I've also used my new SU embossing folder called Delicate Designs  large SU scallop die, Memory Box swirl die and a Joy Craft corner die.  Its a shame SU aren't doing the pleased ribbon anymore as I really love it...  The sentiment was scrap box!  The light started to go just as I took my photograph and so its the best pic I can get!

Thankfully the rain has stopped for the time being, had awful problems getting out of our village this morning due to flooding and my heart goes out to those who have suffered flooding in their homes and shops....

Butterfly medley......

Yesterday afternoon I actually found a couple of hours to spend in my craft room....I have so much in the way of new 'crafting goodies' that haven't seen daylight yet so though I should have a little play and this is what I came up with.
I used one of my new S.U. edgelits dies and embossing folder on the side of my card. The embossed background folder is S.U also used Sizzlits large leaves and the Sizzlits  butterfly die from SU
The sentiment is from S.U. and the frame is from the Four Frame set.
I found a pretty piece of mauve trim which I popped on top of the ribbon and of course added a few pearls.
Its now pouring with rain but its so refreshing after all the humid weather we have had in the last few days....

Also entering my card in the Fab'n'funky challenge using leaves

Stampin Up Day.....

What a fabulous day we all had crafting with Jenny from Stamping Moments and above are the projects we made.  My favourite item was the gorgeous picture frame which is now hanging on the wall of my craft room.  We were given the Bright Blossoms stamp set so I cant wait to use it again.
Please pop over to Jenny blog and have a look, Jenny also does some wonderful stamp classes.
I am sorry to say that our class for November is now FULL if you haven't already put your name on the list....I will of course take names just in case someone cant make it....

Bird in Blossom......

This weeks challenge over at Make my Monday is Birds or Animals...
Most of the elements on my card are from Stampin Up except the frame which is a Spellbinders one and the Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
I embossed some cream and kraft card them distressed it with vintage photo Distress ink. Cut the nestie out and placed a rectangle nesties in the centre making the frame.  The music paper is also from Stampin Up, cut out the leaf die and just embossed the leaves a little bit and added some old olive ink to the leaved...punched out some small flowers then popped then in another S.U. embossing folder before making the little flowers..
.
Its another very wet day down here in Somerset.....will we ever see the sun again???
