For a cat lover...

Just realized I hadn't posted for a week...this is one of the last Christmas cards I've made its for a cat loving family......  this was an unbranded image I found on the internet.
Like a lot of you with the new government restrictions we will be on our own for Christmas but it's the safest thing to do....we will miss seeing the grandchildren opening up their presents but keeping safe is far more important.

We had a lovely walk around the village this morning in the sunshine, we stopped off at the village 'library' which is in the bus shelter and has been great since we've been in lockdown and always has a large selection of books....

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Back on line....

It's been a frustrating week so far...we lost our internet and our telephone lines Sunday lunchtime and today is the first day an Engineer was able to come out....
We've had a problem before with rats eating through the cables and wires and its happened again, depsite putting some armored cabling fingers crossed it will take them a while to nibble through that....its just one of the drawback of living in the country....

My card.... the lovely snowflake die frame was a gift from a friend last hasn't got a name unfortunately but it made a lovely card just using non shed glitter behind it ...the poinsettia I already had from years ago.. not sure who's make the fern die is.... it's so nice to back on line ...I will try and catch up with your blogs at some point..

Last week I was suffering with awful toothache and one night I didn't even go to bed so sat in my craft room making Christmas cards trying to take my mind off the pain...thankfully with antibiotics and pain killers I'm fine now...
I've used Marianne Creatable large bauble die for both cards..

The image in this bauble was sent to me by my lovely blogging friend Anneke ...

Hope you are all keeping busy making your Christmas cards.

Take care and stay safe everyone

Christmas continues...

Being in lockdown again hasn't bothered me as I'm still making Christmas cards for the grandchildren...its been a bit like a factory in my craft room making batches of cards......
Didn't realized I haven't posted for so long...  also had an order for 6  more gnome cards.   Giraffe stamp is unbranded off the interest.

My grandson really loved the post box designed cards and I've managed to put the names of some of his friends on the letter being posted.... the post box die was from The Works....thank you Jules for pointing me in that direction...

I need to think about my own Christmas cards now so hopefully I can make a start on those this week...

Hope you are all keeping safe and busy during these very difficult times especially as Christmas is only a few weeks ahead...

More Christmas cards...

Still making Christmas card for the grandchildren to give to their friends...I've done a few same design but different colours...   I've used my new Stampin UP Snowflake embossing folder for the background on my little snowman...embossed it on vellum which gives you white snowflakes so no stamping....the little snowman has come from a set of Penny Black called 'Jolly Friends'. Sentiment is from Inkylicious.

Just love the  'Simon Says' gnome die, again I've done several of these cards in different designs and colour ways...also I've used up a lot of my paper and card snippets..

Hope you are all keeping busy and safe in these difficult times...thank goodness for crafting..

Have a good day everyone..

Christmas cards.....

I've been making some Christmas cards for 3 of our grandchildred to give to their friends... I just love the Stampin Up Trimming the Town DSP...its just cutting out bascially...the little bauble cards 3 x 3 are made using the small houses on the back of one of the DSP sheets...
You can make so many cards using this paper once you've cut out everything it takes no time it putting them together.
One request was for a card with a black cat on it for my granddaughter to give to her brother and partner....added the little car as I've also got the stamp set.  20 cards done so far about another 10 - 15 to go....

Hope you're having a good weekend....take care and stay safe

Bird Ballard Birthday...

This is a card I made for my friend Margaret just using the DSP from the               Bird Ballard set....such beautiful papers.

Its been a busy few days in the garden cutting down bushes and trimming trees ready for the winter.

Yesterday we made the most of probably our last hot sunny day with a trip            down to Weymouth, we saw around 6 cruise ships still docked in the bay             not sure  when they will be moving but don't think anytime soon.

Keep safe and well everyone....

The only thing I have to post was another another Penned & Painted card using the Magenta DSP....
I will be back to crafting after all the washing and ironing is done...also I need to catch up on all your blogs to see what you've been up to..

Have a good weekend whatever you've got planned..and take care

Masculine decoupage....

Hope you all had a good weekend...

Whilst sorting my craft room out  I came across some decoupage  which I've quickly put together...No idea where they came from as I've had them for years....It's amazing what you find sorting out your drawers and cupboards!

It's another rainy start to the day here in Somerset so looks like I'll carry on sorting out my craft room out.

Thanks for stopping by

Fall wellies...

How lovely it is to have it cooler although it still quite muggy.
Something different for a masculine card or could be for female gardener...a lovely image from Power Poppy, coloured in Autumn colours and found a piece of snippet background paper than toned in well.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday..

Floral Birthday ...

How are you all coping in this heat?  I'm finding it just a little bit too much and the craft room has been out of bounds most days as it has been too hot.
I just can't believe the amount of people on the beaches down here but I'll say no more !

I did manage to make this birthday card using snippets of  green card , flowers & leaves from the SU Penned & Painted set.  Most of us have got snippet boxes and I do try to use it when I can.

Have a nice day whatever your doing and thanks for stopping by

Poinsettia card...

When I receive my SU orders from Jill my lovely SU Demonstrator there is usually a little 'Freebie' inside.  Last time I had this beautiful poinsettia...I carefully added some colour to the petals and leaves then added a few little sticky pads then popped it on a 5 x 5 card..another Christmas card for my box.

Its very hot today down here in Somerset much too hot for me to sit outside...

Hope you all enjoy the weekend but keep safe.....we're staying put...

More Positive Thoughts

Can't believe its Saturday once again the weeks are just flying by.

Another card made from the Positive Thoughts stamp set....its always difficult making sympathy cards to send to men but thought the feathers would be nice.
After stamping the sentiment  decided to cut it up but not sure whether I should have left it....

Its a very muggy morning here in Somerset but they do forecast thunder for us time in the craft room I think.

Have a good weekend..

It's amazing what you find when clearing out crafty stash...I found several toppers from the Hobby House including this little lady who is called Rosetta....the image is pre-coloured so just needed to add background papers, ribbon & roses...a very quick card to make..

I've tried to be good it getting rid of crafty stuff but after 25 years of card making there's an awful lot of stuff.....and as we know trends are changing all the time in paper crafting...but what is it that they say 'what goes around comes around'.....I reckon its going to take months as my craft room is a bedroom with fitted wardrobes...which are we all know us crafter's are hoarders....but I have to down size because I know we will downsize house wise at some point....

Have good weekend whatever you have planned

I do love to be beside the seaside...

Made this card a couple of weeks ago, DSP and stamps are all from Stampin Up.....there's nothing nicer than listening to the sea.
I'm still sorting through my craft room and finding things I didn't know I had its going to take a while but I do a little bit every day...

That's it from me today short and sweet...

Thanks for stopping by

I suppose we can celebrate a little bit now that the hairdressers, dentist, and cafe's are starting to open up again.

My hubby had a dental appointment yesterday morning, so  we walked into town but before coming home stopped and had a coffee which was really actually felt a bit like a normal day...with social distancing !...

This is small 5 x 5 card was made using the Happy Birthday to You SU stamp set...again I've only used the pretty flowers.
I've used the subtle SU 3D embossing folder then stamped it with Versamark.

I'm in the middle of having a craft room clear out which is going to take me a long time so not so not a lot of crafting is going on...

Thanks for stopping by

This little Piggy....

Just loved the 'This little Piggy' stamp set from SU..... made this little card using a piece of embossed card from my snippets box.... a little image that you could use for lots of different occasions...

We have sunshine today after yesterday torrential downpours...planted some new shrubs so it saved me watering them last night.

Can't believe how quickly the weeks seem to be passing by and we've had the longest day....just pleased we've been in lock down through the summer and not Winter...
Have a good week-end and take care ...I think roads and places are going to be very busy this weekend...but we are staying put at home.

All dressed up.....

Isn't it lovely to have it a bit cooler... I like the sun but it was just a little too hot for me... the rain arrived overnight I'm pleased to say but the garden desperately needed it.

Another cutie card this morning..Penny Black 'All dressed up'....I'm trying to be good and to use up some of my old DSP...I really don't need to ever buy any more papers.
It's cool enough to go in the craft room today so that's where I am heading.

Hope you all have a nice weekend whatever you are doing

Penned & Painted 'Thank you'...

Just a quick 'thank you' card today using the SU Penned & Painted set...I've also added another little embellishment a dragonfly....the card is from an old Craftwork Cards pack which matched perfectly the colours of the flowers..

The beautiful sunny weather is back with us so I will make the most of it by sitting outside in the shade and colouring....We did the garden yesterday & cut the lawns before it got too hot..housework all done so time to relax....

Have a lovely day whatever you decided to do.

Make a Wish....

I didn't start off making this card yesterday but got side tracked like you often do in the craft room, found this sweet image that I printed off ages ago and decided to colour her in..she's a digi image from Mo manning  called 'Make a wish'.... papers are from an old LOTV pad..  Does anyone else have boxes of embellishments that they need to use up? I do... hence the little heart..
Back to what I was working on yesterday!
