Christmas just seemed to have flashed but we had a lovely time with all the grandchildren...seeing their faces as they open their presents was just lovely.
I've managed to pick up some kind of chesty bug so don't feel like doing much crafting at the moment but here's a card I started to make before Christmas and finished it off this morning....
Its a Tattered Lace die that came with the Tattered Lace magazine Issue No 13 and she is called Georgina...
I've Just kept it simple by adding paper from my stash, SU border embossing folder and a couple of corner dies.

December craft night.......
Sorry for the lack of posts this week but its been a busy week with the grandchildren's Nativity plays we've seen two this week....dont they just bring a lump in your throat?
It was out last Crafty Bunch meeting of the year and the girls made this lovely Christmas tree using rolled wrapping paper and popped onto an embossed background, its much better in real life as the camera didn't like the shiny papers. Afterwards we tucked into some lovely food and a Christmas quiz...hopefully all the ladies enjoyed it.
Its thinking caps on now for projects to do in 2015.
I've at last finished all my Christmas cards so hopefully I can have a bit of 'me' time in the craft room....

Fabric Wreath.....
I did use the blunt end of a BBQ stick to push the fabric in with but my fingers are so sore from holding and pushing the stick in (its pushed not glued) ..I added some gold berries which I found in our local garden centre....
I am supposed to be making two of these but need to give my poor fingers a reast for a couple of days...
Now I need to get on with making the last of my Christmas cards..
Anne
P.S. After reading Patricia's comment I might just glue the next one....thanks for the tip..

Create a card die.....
Trying to catch my tail again this week and I haven't made a card for 2 weeks but thought I had better post something....this is a card I made using one of the Crafters Companion Die-Sire Create a Card template..
I also used Sue Wilsons Pine leaves and Filigree Ponettia which is lovely...my ponsettia is white and silver but doesn't show up very well in the photograph, the sentiment dies are from All Occasion Dies...
I really need to get my finger out and finish off my Christmas cards...why do I leave it so late every year???
Sorry also for not visiting your blogs I will try and do so this week...
Thanks for taking the time to stop by...

November Craft Club....
Sorry for the lack of blogging but have been busy with craft club samples a craft fair and we also managed to get away for a few days..
For this months club the girls did 3 projects the first one was this Snowglobe where we used the Tattered Lace Christmas dies that came with one of their magazines...the little reindeer is one from a set from Obession Impression dies.
Our second project was a card with a little gift wallet inside...the was a digit one, and the holly leaves Sue Wilsons Holly branch.....
Inside we made a little gift wallet using the Stampin Up Gift card Envelope & trims thinlet dies...
We ended the evening by making this big snowflake..from 6 x 4" squares....we used plain white paper for our sample but these look gorgeous made from designer paper...
Sorry my photo's are brilliant but the weather yesterday was awfal and it was so dark....today though we have sunshine..
I will try and get round to visiting your blog to see what you've been up to while I've been AWOL...
Hope you have a good weekend...

Stampin Up Christmas Extravaganza Day.....
What a fabulous day we had yesterday with the lovely Jenny Moors of Stamping Moments....Jenny had some brilliant projects for us to make and here's what we did...
We made a fabulous box using the new Box Making board...of course I just have to have one of these!....loved our gorgous star card which we stamped and punched out the borders....and then we made an amazing Christmas bauble ....
The stamp set we were given to use was Festival of Trees....and we made these fabulous cards to start with...just love the sentiment dies and the pretty snowflakes.
We then had a choice of making a Star book or making single cards I decided to make the single cards and made them from the bits we were given....sadly time ran out and I did't get time to make my Christmas tags and I have also got one more Christmas card to make to complete my set..
It's a such fun day crafting together and once again we had a 'full house' 36 ladies...The work Jenny puts in to our Extravaganza days is amazing she works so hard not only preparing every thing for us to make but we also had 3 tables full of card samples and projects that she had made from other Stampin Up products....needless to say my 'wish list' has grown and grown....Thank you Jenny from all of the Crafty Bunch girls...
I shall be missing for a couple of weeks as the grandchildren arrive and I have a busy week next week and not a lot to time to craft.

Faux Mother of Pearl Technique......
Our second project we did on our Club night last week was the Faux Mother of Pearl technique which I saw on Loll Thompsons Blog....this is the link to her Tutorial Faux Mother of pearl
A lovely technique where you splodge Pearl acrylic paint ( I used Hobbycraft Colout it pearlised paint found in the childrens section) on your card let it dry then apply water based inks colour of your choice then buff it up....you get the most amazing backgrounds..I did use a very slightly damp paper towel to buff up my card which seemed to enhance the pearly background..
This card I've used just green and red ink added a Cheery Lynne swirl, the poinsettia I won from Loll last year...ribbon is from Stampin Up, sentiment All Occason dies..
This card is better in real life, I've used blues and mauves and added a topper, lace border is cheery Lynne, Corner Whimsy
For my background on this card I've used two different green inks pads, the pearly effect hasn't photographed well on this card... I've used All Occasion dies pine set to make my wreath without the pines cones! S.U. embossing folder, Martha Stewart holly punch and Sue Wilson petite bow....
Hope you do try this technique as you can make some stunning backgrounds...
We have lovely sunshine in Somerset this morning but there is a nip in the air...

Club night...Napkin project..
On our club night last Weds one of the projects we did was using napkin/serviettes and making them into cards....we did two different methods one using Mod Podge and the other using cling flim....
For my owl card I used Mod Podge, I used a piece of sticky back paper and stuck my single layer serviette to it then applied one coat of Mod Podge all over....napkins/serviettes make lovely cards and there are some beautiful ones around.
To embellish my owl I used some backing paper from my stash, embossing folder and cut out two leaves from a little die, made some tiny flowers, added a sentiment and you have a lovely card.
For this card I also used Mod Podge, cut 3 stems from my Memory Box Chole die, Stampin Up butterfly stamped onto coloured card then I've painted them with bleach to give to lighter colours......
This card was made using the cling film method....take a piece of card lay it down add a piece of cling film on the top then place your one layer napkin on top of your cling film and on top of that place a scrap piece of paper, you then get an iron (not steam) we used a travel iron to 'iron' on the top this then melts the cling film and sticks your napkin to your base layer of card....it gives a lovely smooth almost velet like finish...as opposed to the Mod Podge which give a lovely textured feel...heres a UTUBE link Cling and Napkins
I just added a button face, punched a small border with and added some co-ordinating ribbon....
Will show the other project we did later in the week...

Birthday card....
Not a lot of time for crafting this week as I am helping my daughter who has her own cake business, she has a big Charity event on Friday so have lots of cakes, flowers and toppers to make, I did sugarcraft for over 20 years but things have changed so much just like cards styles change and things go in and out of fashion but I still enjoy it..
This is a card a made about 3 weeks ago using the solid die from the SU Filigree Poinsettia set to make my flower....all the dies I've used are SW ones, the butterfly Martha Stewart and sentiment from Stampin Up.....its a very pale card and looks much nicer in the flesh....
The weather is horrible today cold, wet and windy....but we cant complain can we..

Another Christmas card...
Had a lovely day yesterday at Westpoint with 3 crafty friends, I was very good and apart from one small die set and a sheet of Card-io stamps I only bought crafting necessaties i.e. DSP, glue, new stamp pads and celo bags.....
the weather was once again glorious and we all came home very happy bunnies..
On quite a roll now with Christmas cards....again I've used Sue Wilson dies...I've chopped around the California background die and made 4 squares and used the Filigree Poinsettia die, again I've chopped around the Grand Vinery Die for the small leaves on my poinsettia.
Thanks for popping by

Pixie's Snippets Challenge...week 143
Had a lovely day yesterday as my daughter won tickets for The Handmade Show at Hamton Court.. There was a lots of Vintage stuff there including beautiful fabrics which I was tempted to buy but resisted...but came home with lots of ideas of things to make...we also managed to do a Papercraft workshop which was good fun and I was lucky enough to win the draw for our workshop...
This weeks card for Pixie's Snippets Challenge is made from scraps of DP hence the patchwork appearance....papers are from Dovercraft Garden Party, Tattered Lace Shoe die, Sue Wilson peite bow, Martha Stewart border punch and Nellie Snellen flower and leaf punch....I've just noticed I've got a 'wonky' pearl so need to fix that!

California Die and a 'Freebie'......
For my card today I have used Sue Wilsons California background die and cut it lengthwise and popped it onto black card then mounted it onto Vintage gold card. The lovely reindeer was part of a 'freebie' along with two stamps and an embossing folder on a magazine this month I dont normally buy magazines but thought the stamps and embossing folder was worth the price of the magazine!
Stamped and mounted the lovely swirly reindeer onto one of the Spellbinders Floral Oval dies...finished by card off with some gold ribbon and a few gold 'pearls' .....Cant get a good photo with the black and the gold sorry...
Hope you are all enjoying this lovely warm weather....

Pixie's Snippet challenge week 142....
Where did last week go? Another challenge over at Pixie's Snippet challenge
although I've used snippets to make my challenge cards my box isn't going down as it builds up again during the week!!
Do you remeber the time before we had dies and punches....well I used to buy artifical flowers and leaves and pull them apart to make floral cards...last week I had a clear out of all those flowers and gave them to my granddaughters to make cards with but I did keep a few odd bits being the leaves and the little cones....no idea where they came from sorry...
The die is a Marianne Creatable one.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend...

Club night....
Last night was our Craft Club meeting our two project were a 'shoe box' (dont now why its called that!) where we give everyone a bag containing an image, paper, card, embellishments...the girls have to use part of everything we give them but they can also add embellishments of their own....Karen and I also have the same bag and this is my completed card...the photo's aren't great as we used holographic card...The girls did a brilliant job every single card was different but silly me forget to take a picture...doh!
The second project was masking off part of a card then inking and stamping across the centre making a one layer image...
these are a few of my samples...
Using various clear stamps
Stampin Up French Foliage
Stampin Up Wetlands
Stamps from Inkylicious
Next month we are playing with paper napkins and making a pop out card..
Hope the sun is shining on you all today its glorious down here in deepest Somerset...

My card is quite pale so very difficult to get a good picture on this lovely sunny day but I'm not complaining...
The good news is that my grandson didn't have his elbow pinned but has a new cast and has gone back to school today a little apprehensive as thats where the accident happened but at the moment he is only part time ....

My 2nd Christmas card!!.....
Well I am so pleased with myself I've just made my 2nd Christmas card...the sun is shining and its warm and I just cant get to grips with the 'C' word at the moment..
I've been playing around with masks and embossing them...this one is a Touch Mask called 'Flourishing Heart'.. using Versamark ink pad I patted my mask all over before popping into the Bigshot and embossing it....then I sprinkled clear embossing powder over it and embossed it.
Using SU old olive ink pad I coloured the mask all over and of course the embossed bits resisted the ink.
Dies have used are Sue Wilsons Holly Flourish. Spellbinder Poinsettia (using vellum rather than card and adding glitter), Dainty Dots embosing folder and the sentiment is from Stampin Up 'Greetings of the Season' set...

Pixie's Snippet Playground challenge week 140....
I've used Sue Wilsons Heart lattice, Spellbinders Em-Bossabilities Dainty Dots and the middle panel I cant tell you what it is as I no longer have the embossing folder...
The little birds are cut from Poppystamps Nestled Bird die and of course spellbinders heart dies...the sentiment is from a Stampin Up set called 'After thoughts' but I have masked off part of the sentiment as it could be a Wedding, Engagement or Anniversary card.
We have a lovely sunny day down here in Somerset and I hear we are in for warmer weather....so hopefully summers not over yet...

Starting School....
Our youngest Grandson starts school on Monday....he seems too young as he's only just 4years old and will be one of the youngest ones....thankfully he's part-time for 3 weeks so as to ease them in gently...
This is a little good luck card I've made him using one of Mo Manning's digi images....the small alphabet and numbers are from the Tattered Lace Issue 3 magazine. Backing papers are from Echo Park 'Boys life' paper pad...
Bless him his school shirt comes down to his knees and his little shorts are for 2-3 year olds....but he cant wait to go...and of course his big sister is giving him lots of adivce on what to do and what not to do, she's 6 1/2 ....don't you just love 'em...
We have a dry day here in Somerset which is lovely after the awful rain over the past 3 days...

Something a bit different....
Firstly thank you all very much for your kind get well wishes and I am feeling so much better now...
My Mojo seems to gone on 'sick leave' now so really struggling to make cards. We have our two youngest grandchildren next week for a few days and whilst in our local craft shop looking for things to keep them occuppied should the weather be bad I came across these scrabble sticker letters so thats what I've been playing with and this is one of the cards I've come up with. Its lovely to make pretty wedding cards but not everyone likes 'pretty' so this is my version of 'different'.... I've used my new Spellbinders Celebration Pierced squares apart from that its all scraps of card and string....tiny hearts are from the waste of the Martha Stewart punch...I knew one day they would come in hand!
Have a great weekend...

Pixies-snippets-playground-week-134
Do you have coloured card in your stash that you just dont like and it rarely gets used? Well I've actually used some on my Snippets card its the rusty colour. The image is a pre-coloured LOTV one called 'A lick of Paint' but I've changed some of the colours to tone in with my snippets of card....two strips of 'Hessian' embossing, I cut the Hessian ribbon in half as I only had a small piece left so what you see is all I had! Corners and the star are all Stampin Up punches..
We've got a lovely day here in Somerset after the awful thunder, lightening and rain yesterday...just hope it stays fine for the childrens summer holidays...

Pixie Snippets challenge week 133..
The triangles are cut from card left over after making a box, the Triangles dies are from Spellbinders Shapeabilities Gold elements one, sentiment is from a Justrite Vintage labels 4....the centre die is from Spellbinders A2 Filgree Delight...
The school children are breaking up this week so I wont have a lot of crafting time after this week as I shall be spending time with them all...but will pop in and out when I can...
The weather has been beautiful this week and long may it continue although we did have some rain yesterday which was lovely as it cleared the muggy air...
I've not got around to all my blogging friends this week as life has been a bit hectic but I will try and catch up with you all...
