A little bit of sewing....

I suppose this bag could be used in the Snippets challenge as well as its all made from snippets of fabric....a very handy little bag and I just loved the patterned fat quarter with the mauves and greens and just had enough to use on the top of my bag.... like scraps of card its amazing what you can do with 'snippets' of fabric left over from larger projects...

Had a lovely time cooking with my grandson talk about marthon bake off, he made Raspberry cheesecake, jam tarts, chocolate brownies, cheese straws and he also prepared an evening meal of chicken in sauce (not too keen on handling meat though) and did lots of chopping of vegatables for lunchtime soup....
I bought him 3 cook books....two Mary Berry ones which he loved....he facetimed me last night to show me the Pavalova he'd (From one of his Mary Berry books) made for their pudding.... such a joy to see a young man enjoying cooking...I'm afraid to say he doesn't take after his mum!!

Back to card making tomorrow...

Anne

Absolutely fabulous Anne. Gorgeous colours and I love the shape and design.
How wonderful you get to share in your grandson's passion for cooking. Sounds like he is a very talented chef in the making. I'm going to search out the cookbooks you mention as we are all foodies here. Ina Garten books are our favourite. Enjoy your weekend. Pat K xx

Wow! Anne that is one stunning bag, I love it.
Something I have not tried is "Patchwork". I think what my sister said to many years ago has alway stuck in me head .... she said why would you want to buy a piece of material, cut into bits and sew it all together again???
I used to make all my own clothes, I did have bits I could have used but was always on to the next project before I thought about it. Someday maybe someday!!!
My DIL is thankful that I spent time cooking and baking with our Son......LOL!!
I love doing the same thing with the boys when they come. Robert just loves to bake, cooking he does but not so enthousiastically.
Have a wonderful weekend
