Club Project......Sneak preview...

Here's a sneak preview of one of my sample cards that I had made for our pricking project that we are doing at our club meeting on  Wednesday night.
This little pricking pattern I have had for years and found it when clearing out so just reduced it so that it would fit on a large nestie circle.
We have a 'library' of crafting goodies in our club box which includes lots of stamps and our ladies are encouraged to use them and are welcome to take them home for a month and bring them back at our next meeting.  We are lucky enough to have  a lot of Stampin Up sets so I have tried to make samples using stamps that we have in our box.
Backing paper is from Stampin Up...the bird and butterfly are both from the S.U. Touch of Nature set.  Having stamped the butterfly onto old Oliver card I then got some bleach and just bleached out the colour and ended up with the 'yellow' effect, if you haven't tried this technique then do have a play as you can get some lovely colours, I just used some cheap bleach and and old paint brush, brush the bleach on and let it dry, if you want a lighter colour then paint over it again.

Off to start on my other samples for our 2nd project which is stamping and masking...
Enjoy the rest of your week end..

It obviously pays to have a turn out every now and then - I must have pricking templates stashed away somewhere but not used them in ages. Great choice of colours on the card and I'm sure the members will have a great evening as usual.

Hey Anne! I have never heard of this bleaching technique. I will give it a go. How lucky you are to have a club that you all can share friendship and ideas with. Your card is lovely. I have never tried the pricking technique either. I will be writing - I have my grandchildren for a couple of weeks so I have been really busy!
