A Peaceful Lake...
I spotted this lovely stamp set in a little craft shop in Taunton and thought what a lovely stamp for a guy.
The stamp set is one from Sheena Douglass called 'A Little Bit Sketchy' and this particular stamp set is called 'Peaceful Lake'...stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with SU marker pens...backing paper is from my stash and so is the card....a very quick and easy card to make.
Thanks for looking

Penny Black challenge....week 185
Penny Blacks challenge this week is CRAFTY BARGAINS . My first bargain was the backing paper it was cheap because it was 'dog eared' and also the ribbon which was in a cheap bin and I suppose you could also say the sentiment was as it came F.O.C. with an order from a lovely lady called Alison....
I cant tell you who's backing papers they are, the image is coloured using pencils. Crafts Too embossing folder used across the centre, the little flower my friend Jan made for me so I just added some punched leaves.

Simply Stampin....Challenge 43
This is a new Challenge for me its called 'Simply Stampin' and this week its a Sketch.
Stamping the En Francais background onto squares then took stamps from the Pocket Silhouettes set and stamped onto 4 of the square, the small butterfly from Flight of the Butterfly and the sentiment came from Whimsical Words set. Punched out a couple of flowes and added pearls before popping them onto the card. Across the bottom I used the Eyelet Border punch. I shall enjoy doing this challenge as it will mean my S.U. stamps will get used more!
Strictly was fabulous last night, it was at the NIA and not the NEC as I though the only complaint I have is that the seats so were hard! Next time I will take a cushion to sit on..lOl..lOl.

Less is More ..week 51
Another great challenge this week from Chrissie and Mandi over at LIM
and this week its 'Cut it Out'.
I cut a square in the centre of my card with a Nestie then added on the top an embossed aperture frame, I then got a piece of pink card and 'framed' the aperture... added a few white daisy flowers and also punched out some white leaves. The sentiment is from the SU set Punch Bunch...It wasn't easy to photograph as the light isn't good today...
.We are off to see Strictly Come Dancing in Birmingham tomorrow night so really looking forward to that.
You will also see from my side bar that we have another 2 Stampin Up Extravaganza Days booked, one in June and one in November if anyone is interested and would like to join us for a great crafting day please email me to book your place...

Another butterfly card
Having making several cards this week I had lots 'bits' and scraps of paper left so I decided not to waste them but to try and make a card and this is the result!
Two pieces of embossed card using SU embossing folders... remains of a scallop edge using EK Success border punch, a butterfly I had spare, the little gems were a 'freebie' with a crafting order I received, a little scrap of SU Designer paper which I have used behind the butterfly and an odd rose which was spare after making a birthday card...
Stamps used are all from the Elements of Style stamp set.

St Lukes Mid month post...
This is my mid month post for the St Lukes Charity card challenge which is all about recyling things you would normally throw away.
For my Birthday one of my daughters came me a M & S Gift voucher which came in a beautiful card which I kept as it was too pretty to throw away so I decided to use the front of it on my card. Its quite big so didn't need to add much else. The ribbon is also recyled as hidden behind the image is a black ink stain as I left open my ink pad a dropped the ribbon on top! I added the bow and of course the flower, leaves and pearls.....
You still have time to make a card for this challenge and you could be this months winner so come on crafters get your thinking caps on...

With Sympathy....
None of us like making sympathy cards but unfortunately we do need to....
This is for a neighbour and friend who passed away last night after a long battle with cancer... I've used one of the large butterflies from the SU Butterfly die and two of the stamps from Elements of Style, flowers and swirl, image coloured with pencils. SU punch used across the bottom and just added a splash of bright ribbon, didnt think I need to put any words on the front.

Hope you all have a good week end.

Club night...
Sorry for the lack of posts this week but I have been really busy not only doing samples for our club night that was last Wednesday but also this week I have have 4 birthday cards and 1 anniversary card to make which of course I cant put on my blog..... Also yesterday we actually had a day out and went to Taunton for a bit of retail therapy, I picked up a couple of bargains in M & S and also a couple of bargains in the craft shop. We had a lovely meal out and then in the evening we saw a show at the Brewhouse Theatre...for those of you who are Elvis fans if you ever have to chance to go and see a guy called Lee Memphis King....he is the best Elvis impersonator we have seen, it was a brilliant show.
At our club night this week we did resist work using both chalks and inks. The mauve card is resist using chalks over the top and the blue card is resist using inks over the top. Two very simple cards but quite effective...
Hope to also catch up on comments on your lovely blogs...
Hopefully tomorrow I will have new card to post....
Thanks for looking

St Lukes Charity card challenge......New Year New Start
This is the first challenge for St Lukes charity card challenge 2012 and as the heading says our challenge is New Year, New Start which means you can give something that might be destined for the bin a new lease of life...
For my 'New Life' I've used some sparkly wrapping paper for the background, it so sparkly that it wasn't easy to photograph! The bow came off a Christmas Cracker which I iron and then remade another bow. The flowers on the card I recycled from an old card and just added a new pearl brad centre. Other items I have used on my card are SU embossing folder and M.S Punch.
The stamp I used is and LB Design stamp which I have coloured with Copic pens.
Our Sponsor this month is 'The Ribbon Girl' and the prize is this wonderful Yellow Girl Ribbon Kit
So come crafters get your mojo's working and show us what you can do....just remember you have to 'be in it to win it'..
Also pop over to St Lukes Charity card challenge see what the other members of our design team have come up.
