Kingfisher...

Do you sometimes get to the stage where your working space on your desk gets so small you just have to clear it all away?  Thats when I found this lovely image from one of Janye Netley Mayhews CD's, these sort of images a also great for mens cards, I have done one for a man which I will post later in the week.
A few months ago in our craft club we played with inks making backgrounds, and the embossed panel on the right is one that I had done, inking and then spritzing with Glimmer Mist before using an embossing folder,  you can get some amazing results just playing around. The inked embossing foler is one of the Cuttlebug folders and the other side is one of the SU folders.
Using the SU Top Note die  mounted my kingfisher image onto it and just added a bit of ribbon and a Martha Stewart butterfly which I've glittered
Entering into the following challenge..

Thanks for stopping by...

Anne, I love the kingbird, it's my favorite bird you know!! Your card is stunning!!!!!!!!!!Lovely how you did the coloring at the background!
In Holland we called that bird "icebird". I've also made a card with it, I will put it at my blog in the next two weeks! You will see!

I have a huge desk but only ever seem to have about an A5 sized space to work in lol! I do like finding forgotton treasures on the odd occasion when I force myself to clear the decks (found an as yet unused whimsey die last night as a case in point!)
Love the card - kingfishers are amazing birds and their colours lend themselves so well to art. I love the backgroun on this as it goes so well with the bird.

Anne - this is just beautiful. I love Kingfishers - I think it's their fab colours - you've done a great job on this card. And I know what you mean about desks. At the moment mine's a bomb site - better do a bit of tidying and then crafting :)
