Pixies Snippets challenge 178-179

Well its almost two weeks since my last post my Vertigo has almost gone so life is back to normal in the craft room and we also had a few days away on the south coast which was lovely.
My card for this weeks Pixies Snippets Challenge
rummaging through my bits box I found a lovely image of a cat which is a from made up of a paper tissue hankechief which has been  mod Podged and put onto card, frame is an old Spellbinders one, packing paper and flowers left over from a Papermaina pad....butterfly is SU stamped onto coloured card then I used bleach to bleach out the colour .

The children are on half term this week so we will be spending time with them all at some stage...

Club night....................

It was our Club Night last night and we gave the girls 6 sheets of double sided papers from Craftwork Cards 'The Potting shed' 8 x 8 paper pad,  a plant pot template and also a plain 6 x 6 card.  The inside of the plant pot had a pop out flowers which they also did.  Its a brilliant pad to work with and of course gardening covers both male and female.....

We had so many samples there last night and these are some of mine....

Where's the sunshine gone we've gone from summer back to winter well thats what  it feels like today.....

Remember Encaustic Art?..........

A few years ago a few ladies from our craft group did an Encaustic Art workshop including myself...
I found this little gem tucked away in a drawer its only a small image but thought it was too nice to throw away but at the time I wasn't very pleased with my efforts.. so decided to use the image to make a card.  All the card pieces are scraps and I am quite pleased how it turned out, the birds are a little bit large to say the least!

The weather outside isn't very nice so its either a day sewing or a day crafting..

Have a good weekend...

Butterfly Basics...

Haven't been able to do much crafting for a week or more as I am suffering from Vertigo, even using my PC keyboard isn't easy but yesterday I was determined to make a card as I have a couple of stamp sets that haven't yet been opened....

One of my new sets was Butterfly Basics from Stampin Up....I also used a Cuttlebug wire mesh embossing folder....DSP is also from Stampin Up....

Hope you are all making the most of this Bank Holiday weekend and for a change its dry down here in Somerset where we are...

Pixies Snippets challenge week 174.....

I've been AWOL because we made use of the glorious sunshine we had over the past week and had a week away....weren't we lucky with the weather and what a change today cold and raining....got back yesterday so lots of washing and ironing to be done now...

I manage to find a card that was suitable for Pixies Snippets challenge
its one I made a couple of months ago but it is from snippets of embossed card.  The card itself is only a 4 x 4 card but I had this gorgeous image left over from a sheet of images I bought from Kanban years ago.
The embossing folders are both from SU and a Marianne swirl....

Hopefully normal service will be resume in the craft room later in the week as I now need to crack on with samples for next month club meeting...

Hollyhocks......

This is a another of my sample cards I made when were were doing watercolouring in our craft club a couple of months ago....I've used Penny Blacks Hollyhock stamp layered the image up onto a Marianne Creatable die and a paper doily....backing paper is from SU.

Last night we went to the theatre to see the singer Russell Watson  but after sitting in our seats for almost half an hour after the performance was due to start we were told he had a throat infection and couldn't sing...I was so gutted...they are hoping to reschedule just hope we dont have to wait too long...

Its a beautiful day here certainly too nice to be sat on my PC but just finishing off a birthday card then off to patchwork....

Club night...

It was out club night last night and the girls made an Iris Folding card they either had the pink  (as above) and also blue....we hadn't done Iris folding for ages...
We had lots of samples on our table from the Stampin Up Moon Lake stamp set and the girls could select which one card they wanted to make or even just stamp lots of images to take home and make their cards there......here's just one of my samples...I used watercolour paper and kept the images quite subtle...

The weather is glorious here in Somerset today and I hope it is where you are...taking a crafting break for a few days... but need to also go fabric hunting as Grace's brother wants a Spider Man quilt.....one thing you can say my hands are never idle...lOl..lOl....
