Paper Pieced Robins.....

Last week was the last meeting of our craft club and we did paper pieced cards using the Woodware Robin stamp....I really enjoyed making the samples I think I made 10 cards it total...a good start to next years Christmas cards.
Paper piecing is a very good way of using up all those little snipepts of DSP.

Christmas will soon be upon us so this will be my last post before Christmas.  I would like to thank you all for your support in  visiting my blog and leaving your lovely comments I really appreciate it.

Wishing you All a Very Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year.

Rockin Robins...

My lovely blogging friend Kath kindly sent me some stamped images of these cute little Rockin Robins from the Clearly Besotted stamp set....these little cards are ideal for grandchildren to give to their friends at Christmas...and easy for them to colour...

Sadly some of my Copic pens are starting to dry out so the colouring isn't as smooth...but the children can use pencils .
Thank you once again Kath and I have now ordered this little set...
This year I am using up card blanks which I have already and these little robins sit nicely on 4 x 4 cards....

Coffee & Card morning....

It was another of Jill's coffee and card mornings a week ago 1st Saturday of the month.. again there were several cards we could choose to make and I loved this one, I actually 'cased'  Jill's card as I thought it was lovely...the little birdies are so sweet up in the tree, the Stamp Set is called 'Snow Front'.

Jill always gives us a piece of card for the inside but I used mine to stamp another little scene and made another card up at home...and I've just noticed I've missed the little birdies off the tree..

Thanks for looking

Stampin Up Craft day..

I had a really brilliant weekend crafting...I'll post what I did on Saturday later in the week..but on Sunday I attended another one of Jenny Moors Stampin Up craft days which of course was a Christmas themed one we made some amazing projects.
Stampin Up  Perfectly Plaid stamp set and punch was what we used..I just loved the framed project we did and a very clever way of using the matching tree punch.

This little box had a hidden gem inside.....
Such a sweet minature Keepsake box which is big enough for a small
         gift  or Chocolates....
Loved the design of this card a the which opened up from the top

This pretty Christmas box held a lovely suprise....

The top opened up to reveal some where to put your message

                                                  Then a lovely suprise inside

I love the Diorama cards as they can fold flat to post

An amazing day Jenny, thank you for all your hard work.

In a couple of days I will post another card which I made at another stamping and Coffee morning event...

Thanks for popping by to look

Stamping on Embossing Folder technique....

Last Club night I also re-visited a technique I did quite a while ago stamping onto the S.U Woodland embossing folder to make it look like the trees are in the foreground and the trees are behind.
I started off brayering Soft Sky on the depressed side of the embossing folder then I stamped 3 trees...then very gently brayered light grey on the trees before adding the little deers die cuts afterwards.

For this card I brayered my background then stamped both the tree and the car before adding the little bird and the cat (both die cuts)...its such an easy technique but very effective....you can find lots of videos on Utube show how to do this.

Hope you are all enjoyed the weekend it has been lovely and sunny down here in Somerset.

Tea light projects...

Had a little play with some tea light battery candles....this poinsettia
was made with die cut poinsettia petals and leaves..and a little ribbon around the bottom...very quick to make.

Project 2 was this little birthday cake using small punches flowers
just decorated this little box I already had but the cake would look lovely in a white box with an acetate front or top....

Just loved making this little snowman, you just need to punch holes in the back for the tiny on/off switch and so easy to do with an easel card but of course you do need a little box to pop him in if you were posting.

There are so many ideas around on Pinterest using these little battery tea lights.

Its been a while....Coffee and Card morning

It's been quite a while since I last posted but just haven't had time to craft, a few holidays along the way and also looking after my daughter who now is almost back to work after her major operation....
Yesterday was the monthly Coffee and Card making morning run by the lovely Jill Lackford .
Jill had several card designs for us to choose from but I liked this lovely deer card and the liked the idea the card folded flat to post which certainly helps keep the costs down.   Image is from SU Natures Beauty stamp set

Its our club night on Wednesdayevening so I will have something else to post   later on in the week

I'm sorry I haven't kept up with your blog posts but hopefully now things are back to normal.

Coffee & stampin Up morning

I went to Jill's stamping coffee morning last week we had a choice of making 4 different cards..we had two notelets to use.  The smaller card above was the one I completed on the morning, the larger one I just stamped the front of the card and made it up at home using a 5 x 7" card.

The other card I decided to make was the daisy card, again I just stamped the front of the card then at home popped it on a 6 x 6 card...the 2nd daisy card I used two daisy images I had stamped too dark but bought them home coloured them and popped them on a card using snippets from my die cut box.
All details of stamp sets can be found on Jill's facebook page.

I really enjoy the coffee and stamping mornings we stamp we chat and drink coffee whats nicer?

Silhouette Stag Die

I actually managed to put a card together yesterday.. My friend Michelle very kindly let me borrow a couple of her Crafters Companion  Gemini - Elements dies and this is the Silhouette Stag.
The frame is one from 'The Works', I must say their dies are very good and cut beautifully....a very quick card to make and at least I've made a start on my Christmas cards.

I'm still quilt malking and doing crochet which I am enjoying very much.

Floating die cut Frame technique...

This afternoon I've had a little play with the Floating die Frame technique...for this you ideally need some stamps and co-ordinating dies also something called 'Gad Press 'n'Seal'  which is a bit like sticky cling film, I purchased that from Amazon

I managed to find some die cuts in my snippets die box these were from the old Stampin up 'A Rose is a Rose' stamp set....you can make two card from one sheet,  I used a circle die which I cut from the main sheet hence I manged to get two cards and I think these look very pretty.

I watched Jennie Mcquire tutorial which is so easy to do....Please have a go its so easy.

Thanks for looking..

Another week has flown by and its almost the weekend again but hope you all have a good one.

Thanks for stopping by its really appreciated.

Garden card....

Just spend a lovely week in and around the Cotswolds, it was a bit chilly to start with but the skies were blue and we had lots of glorious sunshine and no rain until a shower yesterday.

This card I've made for my friends husband who's birthday is coming up soon..I can't remember what the stamp is called as I no longer have it but always stamp a few images to keep of stamps I get rid of but I know its a very old image, the embelishments are from an old Craftwork cards pad called The Potting Shed.
