Hollyhocks......

On Thursday had a lovely day crafting with my friend Margaret making special cards that she needed.

Margaret very kindly bought over some of her new dies to show me and it would have been rude not to try them!   
 The circle die is one of Sue Wilsons, and the corner dies which are really pretty are from Tattered Lace.
Backing paper is from Papermania 'Summer Bloom pad' and I've used Penny Black 'Hollyhocks' stamp...

I embellished my card with a Martha Stewart butterly and also some pretty pink ribbon which I tied into a double bow..

The weather man says down in the South and South East the weather is looking good so hope he's right...

Snippets-playground-week-126. .....

While on holiday last week I visited Hobbycraft and found this little stamp and thought it would be ideal for an Anniversary card (yes another one) so have used it for the Snippets Challenge this week.

The stamp is called Perfect Pair, all the layers were in my leftovers stash..the frame from Marianne, backing paper from the Paper Shop, sentiment is computer generated  and I've just added a couple of hearts snippets from the Martha Stewart heart border punch.

Not a lot of crafting this week for me as it half term so will be seeing the grandchildren.

Anniversary wishes.....

Good morning bloggers...well we are back from a lovely week away on the south coast celebrating out Sapphire Anniversary and what glorious weather we had...and yes I did get my Sapphire, a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring....

For my card today I've used an image from a sheet of pre coloured die cuts from Little Claire's..the die I've used to make my easel card card is A Die'sire one called Chantilly Lace...the little vine die is a Memory Box one, butterflies SU die....

It's a miserable morning here in Somerset and I think the forecast for the weekend is the same....still I have washing and ironing to catch up on and of course visiting your blogs....

Sapphire Wedding Anniversary.....

Today is our Sapphire Wedding Anniversary...45 years of marriage..

I've used this great Mo Manning image called 'Extra' which I think could cover a lot of different occasions but thought it very apt for our Anniversary...as we all know mens cards aren't easy at the best of times.

Backing papers are from Stampin up, Martha Stewart fence punch and whimsy Corner dies....

Shame the photo of Andy has him wearing sunglasses but he's still the handsome devil I married 45 years ago, but been together for 50 years .I did remind Andy that it was our Sapphire Anniversary and reminded him of the love Ruby ring he bought me on our Ruby Anniversary..  Sapphires.... we shall see...

Friends.....

Firstly I would like to welcome my 3 new followers this week, Kate, Darnell and Kristie, thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment..

My card today is one I made for my friend Linda...I've used  Stampin Up stamps, En Francais script background and Vintage Vogue, I cant remember what the flourish wheel is called across the centre...... I've used Sue Wilson's Tapestry embossing folder for the background and the corner Flourish dies are Spellbinders.

Its a beautiful sunny morning here in Somerset and the weather men forecast warmer weather coming in...that will mean less time in the craft room for me as we will be taking advantage of the sunshine...

Snippets Playground challenge Week 124....

How quickly Sunday's seem to come around and another challenge at the Snippets Playground...

I've used the Papermania 'SON' stamp and just stamped on snippets of  DP paper....My background paper is Stampin Up, and I've used my new Sentiment dies from Clearly Besotted and great way of using up all those thin strips of left over card..my border is a Martha Stewart punch..

The sun is shining down here in deepest Somerset which is lovely....   today I've decided to have a sort of my wardrobe which is long over due....but will be back in the craft room tomorrow..

Tea Shoppe.....

This card I made for Sue one of our ladies in our craft club, we have a birthday club and those ladies who wish to take part can so on your birthday you get lots of lovely handcrafted cards

I used Stampin Up Tea Shoppe stamp and 3D some of the flowers on it.
Backing papers are all Stampin Up....tea cup mounded onto a Nestabilities die...ribbon also SU.

snippets playground week 123....

For the Snippets Playground  challenge this week I have used the Penny Black 'Pin-stripe' stamp that I was lucky enough to win.

Stamped the flower onto a piece of script background then paper pieced the flowers and the leaves.  Backing paper is I think an old SU DP.....corner dies are from La La Land..centre border is MFT Crochet border.... Martha Stewart butterfly...

Well we cant complain about the Bank Holiday weather down in here deepest Somerset...its been glorious....

Happy Birthday Karen.....

My friend Karen has a birthday today...Happy Birthday Karen and this is the card that I made for her...excuse the awful picture it was a really dull day...

Using the small centre die from Spellbinders Fleur De Lis set I cut and embossed 9 squares, mounted onto foam pads and popped a little pearl in the centre of each square...for the backing I used my dotty embossing folder.
I used a Spellbinders flourish die and flowers to pop round her name....corners are also from the Fleur De Lis set...

Its quite chilly today but hoping we will have some sunshine for our Bank Holiday weekend....
