Made a quick birthday card using one of the lovely LOTV die cut images...so useful when you need a quick card as all need to do was to added was a little bit of glitter. The little border is one of my new dies from S.U. i like it because its petite....
Papers used are from Dovercraft Garden party, SU embossing folder used on scraps of pink paper for the corners, various flower punches, my new SU scallop circle punch that I won in the raffle when we had our SU day...corner dies are from Quickutz.

Daisy card.....
Firstly thank you to all my lovely blogging friends for helping me with my posting problems on blogger.
Jules of Always with a Heart put me me onto the Web Resizer website after I had problems with blogger saying I had used up my quota of space...this site resizes your photos so easily....If you are having problems visit her website as she has step by step instructions.....
Well we survived our days of baby sitting but came home very tired...we but all had a lovely time and the children were so good.
Just about finished off the Angel costume, our little angel is coming tomorrow with her wings for me to stitch on so hopefully I will have a photograph later in the week.
Back to my card....Whilst clearing some cupboards out I found my old Sizzix daisy die which I haven't used for ages, I've also used my new SU embossing folder called Delicate Designs large SU scallop die, Memory Box swirl die and a Joy Craft corner die. Its a shame SU aren't doing the pleased ribbon anymore as I really love it... The sentiment was scrap box! The light started to go just as I took my photograph and so its the best pic I can get!
Thankfully the rain has stopped for the time being, had awful problems getting out of our village this morning due to flooding and my heart goes out to those who have suffered flooding in their homes and shops....

Help please....Problems with Blogger....
I had a message up to say I had used my quota of space for my blog pictures on Picasa Web Albums....Debby very kindly told me how to reduce the size of my pictures by going into Picasa Web Albums getting up my card photo and clicking on to Edit Creative Kit..and this is where my problem starts the icon on the right hand side that says RESIZE doesn't work none of the icons on the left had side seem to be 'active'......So has anyone else had the problem of not being to resize their pictures?
Any help would be appreciated before I actually end up paying monthly to blog, I know its only a small amount...
Thanks
Anne
Thank you to those who have given me links to help get over my problem, I really do appreciate it.... Babysitting now until Sunday so wont get much time to sort it out until then....

Chock full of Cheer....
What a miserable dark and wet and windy day its been today....and I left it a bit to take a photo of my card that I made today its not easy taking a photo of a mainly white card at the best of times.
Stampin UP 'Chock full of Cheer' was the stamp set we were given at our Stampin Extravaganza day on Saturday and although I should have been doing the ironing today I just wanted to have little play!
Stamped the bauble and popped it onto a S.U embossing folder called Holiday Frame which I then cut out with a nestie and layered it up. I used Creative Expressions 'Tied Together' embossing folder for the background.
The words 'Noel' are cut from the 'SU Cheerful Christmas roller border.
Wont be crafting again now until next Sunday as I have an Angels outfit to make for my granddaughter who is an angel in her school nativity play and we are also baby sitting for two days....but the Stampin Up order should be here in the next couple of days so more new goodies to play with next week....

A Fabulous Stampin Up Day.....
We had another fabulous Stampin Up day yesterday making lots of gorgeous cards and projects with the lovely Jenny Moors... my photos aren't brilliant (must get a new camera) but thought you might like to see what we did:
Our Hall:
We then had the choice of making 6 cards or 3 cards and a little photo album..I option to make 3 cards so still have my Album to make the all fitted in a lovely tin that we then decorated:
The final project we did was to decorate a box and make 4 mini cards and 4 gift tags:
A BIG BIG thank you to Jenny who works so hard to give us such a wonderful day and also a BIG BIG thank you to Sue (Jenny's mum) who looks after us all making sure there is always plenty of tea and coffee on hand...thank you also to our ladies who bought some delicious cakes along......

Club Night...
Last night was our monthly club meeting and we did what we call a 'shoe box'...everyone is given a packet with all the same elements in, they must use every we've provided even if they only use part but they can also add things of their choice...this is what they were given:
A4 card, die cuts, backing paper and ribbon...
And here are some of their results...
They made so lovely cards....
I also made a card and this is mine:
Off to Street for some retail therapy with my eldest daughter today....

Another Alcohol background..
Not a lot of time to craft at the moment but used up another background I'd made using alcohol inks...this time Cool Perri and Aqua even using two colours you still get a amazing results.
Used a LOTV which I have added more colour to and mounted onto a nestie....SU embossing folder used across the centre. Quickutz corner die.
Sorry my photograph isn't straight but my actual card is!
Have a great weekend...

Playing with Alcohol inks and more...
Its nice to get back in my craft room after a busy week, having our grandson Charlie and also doing a craft fair yesterday..
Do you remember last Weds I post a few things that were on my desk, acetate, alcohol ink, glossy accents, tissue paper and sticky back paper...and this background is the result of using all those things...
If I remember rightly a few years ago I did a similar technique but used floor polish and we called it 'Caught in Crystal' but this technique is so much easier and dries so much quicker...
Having stamped onto acetate turned it over made a few swiggely lines with the Glossy Accent then started putting some alcohol inks on top. Then take a piece of tissue paper larger than your acetate scrunch it up into a ball then open it out again ready to place on top of your inks..I did sprinkle a little find fline glitter on the top before placing my scrunched up tissue paper and pressing it gown on top of the acetate..dab lighty with a piece of kitchen towel...if you are not happy with the results then add more inks...set aside to dry, then put some sticky back paper on the top and your background is ready to use. You get some beautiful backgrounds....
Alcohol inks used on this background are Caramel, Butterscotch and Willow. Stamps used are Clarity Aliums and Martha Stewart border punch around the edge...
Will be back using more of the backgrounds I have created...

The last St Lukes Charity Card Challenge..long post
Sadly this is the very last St Lukes Charity Card Challenge and this time we would like to see Traditional and religious cards with all the trimmings.
This months challenge is JUST FOR FUN, as we are no longer accepting new card to sell on behalf of the hospice, but please post your cards on the blog as there will be some lovely prizes to win, which I will tell you about later.
I would just like to tell you how it all started, Tara came up with the idea two years ago after losing her father and wondered how she could raise money for the hospice and hence 18 months ago the Challenge was started. The challenge has received over 2250 cards for which we are so grateful to you all and for your support. Tara is now unable to do the craft fairs to sell the cards do to personal commitments and after talking to the Hospice shops there was no one who would be able to track the sales or price the cards fairly, so a decision had to be made to end the challenge....although Tara will still support the hospice selling cards at their summer fairs.
We still have a few prizes from our kind Sponsors so thought we would go out with one final challenge so this is what you could win:
A lovely scallop circle die, Humphrey Christmas stamps and a lovely set of Waltzing Mouse stamps.
Please do join in our challenge this month, but DONT send any cards....
a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all your support and your lovely cards you donated we hope you had fun while it lasted.
My card: I have used the bird image and sentiment from Stampin Up Beautiful Season, coloured with Copics and used Glossy Accents on the berries. Image mounted onto Nestability Floral Oval die...Backing paper from my stash, S.U. embossing folder also used, Martha Stewart Holly punch.
I have really enjoyed being part of the Design Team and will miss making my monthly card, thank you Tara for asking me to join your team, you've done a great job and have achieved what you set out to do and that was to raise money for the Hospice...well done my friend.
