Less is More.....week 56
I was pleased to hear that I wasn't the only one who kept small scraps of paper and card!
This week challenge from the ladies over at Less is More is 'Don't Scrap it'.
Not sure where the coloured backing paper scraps came from but the card is S.U. Melon Mambo. Small scraps of card also used for the S.U. Embossed butterfly Embosslit...sentiment is from SU 'Because I care' set.

Faith in Nature...
I've had this little Stampin UP set 'Faith in Nature for quite a while now and so far it hadn't seen any ink so thought it was time it did!
Stamped and coloured with Copics...Backing paper is Stampin Up and so is all the card...I found a scrap of embossed card which needed using up so popped it behind the image.
Border punch is a Martha Stewart one, these images from this little set make lovely notelets that a quick to make.

A little bit of shrink plastic....
This card doesn't photograph very well being black and also the gold thread is very sparkly...
Found this little shrink plastic cat which is a Hobby Art Daisy cat, stamped onto black shrink plastic with white ink and I've coloured the flowers using Sakura pens which have a bit of sparkle to them. Punched out a black spirelli shape and used sparkly gold thread on that then mounted the it all onto a Marianne die cut.
The black card for the backing I've embossed with an SU embossing folder, corner punched from EK Success punch. SU window punch also used.

Wine buffs...
When asked to make so many cards I do use images from some of my CD's... Wine Buffs are always a favourite as we have a Wine Club in our village I always make sure I do at least 4 Wine Buff cards....they are so quick to make I have made. I manage to make 5 different ones this morning but thought you might like to see a couple of them....
Might just have time to make another card before my little grandson appears this afternoon...
Thanks for looking...

Penny Black Challenge - week 189
Our challenge over at Penny Black this week is PEARLS and LACE...so this was easy for me!
I've used one of the Penny Black Stickeroo images from the Romance of Flowers sheet and just added a little bit of sparkle.
Backing papers are from S.U. Punch is SU eyelet punch...added my lace and some pearls...
great I though done....NO....I had stuck my images on the wrong way so my card wouldn't open...gggrr. but I think we have all done this a some stage...so rescued what I could from the front of the original card and started again...
I have a busy week this week as I have got an order for 60 cards and a couple of commissions to make so if I don't post for a few days you know what I am doing...

Less is More.....week 55....
This weeks challenge from the girls over at Less is More is Theme and the theme is 'DIE CUT or PUNCH.
I've used my Sizzix/ Hero Arts Stamp and Die cut set for this challenge which is a lovely little set there is a die for every stamp, stamping the leaves and flowers out first then die cutting it couldn't be easier.
Off to do some sewing repairs for my granddaughter now...patches on jeans....what would these little treasures do with us nanny's and Grandma's?
Also entering this card into the Challenge Crafters Circle Die cuts challenge.

Handbags.....
I am really enjoying playing with my new Create a Cupcake set...and from bits I had left over from another card I had made my little cupcakes were turned upside down and have become handbags! Although things look a bit 'wonky' on the actual card they are straight!
All card and DP is from Stampin Up...the little flaps on on the bags I made by using a 3/4 circle punch cut in half then just punched out a slither of card from the circle to make the handles.
I have put the Linky Followers on the side bar just in case we do loose our Google Friends Follwers at the end of this month as I would hate to loose all my lovely followers so if you want to continue following me please pop your names on the Linky Follwers its free to join..I have noticed that quite a lot of bloggers have done the same thing just to be on the safe side...

Less is More challenge....
Mandi and Chrissie over at Less is More have really made us think about this weeks challenge which is ONE LAYER and STRIPES......
Found this little stamp hidden away and thought it would cover this challenge. I made a rectangle template and using my duster brushes made a striped background before stamping my image which is by Stamps Happen and is called 'Bees'. The sentiment was done on my computer.

Forever Young....
One of the Stampin Up stamps sets we managed to get for our club was ''Forever Young so I have been having a little with it before it goes into the club library box.
All card and backing Backing is from S.U....I've used my new SU folder Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder across the centre but it doesn't really show up very well being black.
I've used 2 S.U. punches Scallop ribbon border and Scallop trim border. Some of the tiny waste dots from the ribbon border I used to create mini brads on the sentiment, the sentiment came from the Create a Cupcake stamp set.
Have a good day

St Lukes Challenge Mid Month Post......
Our challenge over at St Lukes this month is Love and Lace.
While doing a bit of sorting our recently I found this Spirelli hearted green heart...Do you remember Spirelli? So rather than throw it away decided to use it for my mid month post for St Lukes charity card challenge. Using gold thread to wind around the heart, I cut out 2 other hearts one to layer onto the Spirelli heart and another small one to mount a gold heart shaped button I found.
Thought I would get away from the usual red as the spirelli shaped heart was green. Mounted onto to paper from my stash, the lace part of my card is a Memory Box die and just added a Craftwork Card sentiment....

club Night....
Spinner Card
It was our Club night last night as were certainly kept our ladies busy...they made a spinner card and also a side step dresser card which you can do so much with. We had lots of samples for the girls to look at but thought you might like to see just a couple of my cards.
The girls all made the same spinner card using a Penny Black image.
We had a great selection of side stepper cards and two of the samples I made for men, one being the tie card and the red one could be for a mechanic etc but there ate lots of ideas you could do for men.
We have had quite a few new ladies join us which is lovely and although it was very cold last night about 21 ladies braved the cold and came to craft....thats dedication for you! we crafters are tough..LOl..lOl...
Next month we are stamping on Candles and also doing a parchment project.
Off to do a pile of ironing now but hope to get back in the craft room later this afternoon.
Keep warm where ever you are....
