The weather down here in Somerset today is absolutely dreadful, lashing rain and wind and it is so dark and gloomy, but I have managed to put together one card.
I've used stamps from S.U. Papaya Collage set, backing paper is from SU. also SU Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, the little edge die I have used is one of the S.U Edgelits called Finishing Touches.
I would also like to take this opportunity wish you all
A VERY HAPPY AND PEACEFUL NEW YEAR

Thank You....
I've been making 'thank you' cards and this is one of them...such a dreadful photograph but its so dark and miserable its just impossible to get a good photo.
I've used one of the butterflies from S.U. Papillion Potpourri set, dies are also from S.U. and so is the pricking template I have used on the dies, the lovely banner die was a gift from Tara as part of a 'Thank you' gift for being on the DT of St Lukes Charity card blog.
The embossing folder is also one from S.U.

Winter Fairy....
Came up to my craft room to put away all the Christmas stamps and papers that are laying around but thought I had just better colour this gorgeous little Winter Fairy Digi stamp from Mo Manning that had been sitting on my desk waiting to be coloured but not used this year.
Coloured with Polychromos pencils, I used Light flesh, Medium flesh, dark flesh, cinnamon for her flesh and Prisma Light Aqua, and of course yellows for her hair. I also used Staedtler Gel liner pen to do some highlights and of course a little bit of glitter.
Papers are from DCVW called 'Linen Closet', sentiment computer generated.
This card will go into my Christmas box for next year....My friend Val over at Aquarius Blog and I are going to try and make at least one or two Christmas card each month to help start next years cards...
I think most of us now are getting things ready for Christmas so blogging has taken a back seat but I will be back with one more post before Christmas...
Hope you are all keeping warm and dry in this awful weather, nothing but rain, rain and more rain today...
Thanks for popping by...

I'm still here!...
Yes I am still here and thank you to my friends who emailed to see if I was O.K. I've just been so very busy, I was so behind with Christmas shopping and making my Christmas cards....3 cards left to make and they are for my 4 grandchildren so thought you might like to see one I've made for our youngest grandson who is 2 years old....
I've used one of the Wee Stamps printed toppers so I didn't even have to colour! Backing papers is from LOTV so I've just added a little bit of glitter and put his name of the card using Sizizx Naturally Serif Alphabet die.
We have our club party tonight so the girls will be making something a little bit different but NOT a card, will post tomorrow of what they make and once they have done the project we will have food.
Its Pantomime time at the weekend, our yearly treat is taking the Grandchild to see the Panto...and of course it means a sleep over.

Daisy card.....
Firstly thank you to all my lovely blogging friends for helping me with my posting problems on blogger.
Jules of Always with a Heart put me me onto the Web Resizer website after I had problems with blogger saying I had used up my quota of space...this site resizes your photos so easily....If you are having problems visit her website as she has step by step instructions.....
Well we survived our days of baby sitting but came home very tired...we but all had a lovely time and the children were so good.
Just about finished off the Angel costume, our little angel is coming tomorrow with her wings for me to stitch on so hopefully I will have a photograph later in the week.
Back to my card....Whilst clearing some cupboards out I found my old Sizzix daisy die which I haven't used for ages, I've also used my new SU embossing folder called Delicate Designs large SU scallop die, Memory Box swirl die and a Joy Craft corner die. Its a shame SU aren't doing the pleased ribbon anymore as I really love it... The sentiment was scrap box! The light started to go just as I took my photograph and so its the best pic I can get!
Thankfully the rain has stopped for the time being, had awful problems getting out of our village this morning due to flooding and my heart goes out to those who have suffered flooding in their homes and shops....

Help please....Problems with Blogger....
I had a message up to say I had used my quota of space for my blog pictures on Picasa Web Albums....Debby very kindly told me how to reduce the size of my pictures by going into Picasa Web Albums getting up my card photo and clicking on to Edit Creative Kit..and this is where my problem starts the icon on the right hand side that says RESIZE doesn't work none of the icons on the left had side seem to be 'active'......So has anyone else had the problem of not being to resize their pictures?
Any help would be appreciated before I actually end up paying monthly to blog, I know its only a small amount...
Thanks
Anne
Thank you to those who have given me links to help get over my problem, I really do appreciate it.... Babysitting now until Sunday so wont get much time to sort it out until then....

Chock full of Cheer....
What a miserable dark and wet and windy day its been today....and I left it a bit to take a photo of my card that I made today its not easy taking a photo of a mainly white card at the best of times.
Stampin UP 'Chock full of Cheer' was the stamp set we were given at our Stampin Extravaganza day on Saturday and although I should have been doing the ironing today I just wanted to have little play!
Stamped the bauble and popped it onto a S.U embossing folder called Holiday Frame which I then cut out with a nestie and layered it up. I used Creative Expressions 'Tied Together' embossing folder for the background.
The words 'Noel' are cut from the 'SU Cheerful Christmas roller border.
Wont be crafting again now until next Sunday as I have an Angels outfit to make for my granddaughter who is an angel in her school nativity play and we are also baby sitting for two days....but the Stampin Up order should be here in the next couple of days so more new goodies to play with next week....

A Fabulous Stampin Up Day.....
We had another fabulous Stampin Up day yesterday making lots of gorgeous cards and projects with the lovely Jenny Moors... my photos aren't brilliant (must get a new camera) but thought you might like to see what we did:
Our Hall:
We then had the choice of making 6 cards or 3 cards and a little photo album..I option to make 3 cards so still have my Album to make the all fitted in a lovely tin that we then decorated:
The final project we did was to decorate a box and make 4 mini cards and 4 gift tags:
A BIG BIG thank you to Jenny who works so hard to give us such a wonderful day and also a BIG BIG thank you to Sue (Jenny's mum) who looks after us all making sure there is always plenty of tea and coffee on hand...thank you also to our ladies who bought some delicious cakes along......

Club Night...
Last night was our monthly club meeting and we did what we call a 'shoe box'...everyone is given a packet with all the same elements in, they must use every we've provided even if they only use part but they can also add things of their choice...this is what they were given:
A4 card, die cuts, backing paper and ribbon...
And here are some of their results...
They made so lovely cards....
I also made a card and this is mine:
Off to Street for some retail therapy with my eldest daughter today....
so catch up with you all tomorrow...

Another Alcohol background..
Not a lot of time to craft at the moment but used up another background I'd made using alcohol inks...this time Cool Perri and Aqua even using two colours you still get a amazing results.
Used a LOTV which I have added more colour to and mounted onto a nestie....SU embossing folder used across the centre. Quickutz corner die.
Sorry my photograph isn't straight but my actual card is!
Have a great weekend...

Playing with Alcohol inks and more...
Its nice to get back in my craft room after a busy week, having our grandson Charlie and also doing a craft fair yesterday..
Do you remember last Weds I post a few things that were on my desk, acetate, alcohol ink, glossy accents, tissue paper and sticky back paper...and this background is the result of using all those things...
If I remember rightly a few years ago I did a similar technique but used floor polish and we called it 'Caught in Crystal' but this technique is so much easier and dries so much quicker...
Having stamped onto acetate turned it over made a few swiggely lines with the Glossy Accent then started putting some alcohol inks on top. Then take a piece of tissue paper larger than your acetate scrunch it up into a ball then open it out again ready to place on top of your inks..I did sprinkle a little find fline glitter on the top before placing my scrunched up tissue paper and pressing it gown on top of the acetate..dab lighty with a piece of kitchen towel...if you are not happy with the results then add more inks...set aside to dry, then put some sticky back paper on the top and your background is ready to use. You get some beautiful backgrounds....
Alcohol inks used on this background are Caramel, Butterscotch and Willow. Stamps used are Clarity Aliums and Martha Stewart border punch around the edge...
Will be back using more of the backgrounds I have created...

The last St Lukes Charity Card Challenge..long post
Sadly this is the very last St Lukes Charity Card Challenge and this time we would like to see Traditional and religious cards with all the trimmings.
This months challenge is JUST FOR FUN, as we are no longer accepting new card to sell on behalf of the hospice, but please post your cards on the blog as there will be some lovely prizes to win, which I will tell you about later.
I would just like to tell you how it all started, Tara came up with the idea two years ago after losing her father and wondered how she could raise money for the hospice and hence 18 months ago the Challenge was started. The challenge has received over 2250 cards for which we are so grateful to you all and for your support. Tara is now unable to do the craft fairs to sell the cards do to personal commitments and after talking to the Hospice shops there was no one who would be able to track the sales or price the cards fairly, so a decision had to be made to end the challenge....although Tara will still support the hospice selling cards at their summer fairs.
We still have a few prizes from our kind Sponsors so thought we would go out with one final challenge so this is what you could win:
A lovely scallop circle die, Humphrey Christmas stamps and a lovely set of Waltzing Mouse stamps.
Please do join in our challenge this month, but DONT send any cards....
a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all your support and your lovely cards you donated we hope you had fun while it lasted.
My card: I have used the bird image and sentiment from Stampin Up Beautiful Season, coloured with Copics and used Glossy Accents on the berries. Image mounted onto Nestability Floral Oval die...Backing paper from my stash, S.U. embossing folder also used, Martha Stewart Holly punch.
I have really enjoyed being part of the Design Team and will miss making my monthly card, thank you Tara for asking me to join your team, you've done a great job and have achieved what you set out to do and that was to raise money for the Hospice...well done my friend.

A mans castle!!
Not really its a shed...lOl...lOl..
Not blogged for a few days as we have been very busy.....
Still trying to make a few more mens cards before my craft fair next week...my lovely friend Val very kindly gave me this coloured image of a shed which is perfect for a mans card as so many men have a shed as their little hideaway!..Well we have our craft rooms..
Backing paper was a an odd piece in my bit box, the embossing folder is called Wicker Weave, Memory Box little vine die and although you might not have spotted them I stamped a little pair of wellies and popped them in the corner, on thinking about this I should have made them another colour!....

Red Arrows...
Another mans card which I am pleased with...most people have heard of the 'The Red Arrows' (English) display team so tried to make my card look like that!
Using another stamp from the Stampin Up 'Need for Speed' set, stamped and embossed onto kraft card, coloured with copics and tried to do a bit if highlighting but think I need to do that again as its gone a bit pink on some of the planes!
Backing card from my scrap box and computer generated sentiment..
Todays weather is awful, dark, damp and foggy so dont think I will be going very far in this except the craft room!

Less is More challenge....
The ladies over at the Simply Less is More this week have chosen
AUTUMN
for this weeks challenge. I've used part of a serviette which has leaves in it. Got a square of mount bound, split the serviette down to one layer, painted the mount board with Mod Podge, placed my square of serviette on it, then brushed Mod Podge over the top. Let it dry, then added some glitter and when that was dry put a glaze all over the image, then mounted it onto a Nestie. Serviettes are great for making card with as there are some beautiful ones out there. if you haven't tried it have a go....

Need for Speed
Like a lot of people I don't find men's cards easy but I bought this set from Stampin Up called 'Need for Speed' to all I need now is a bit of inspiration.
Stamped and painted with SU soft Suede ink, backing papers are all from Stampin Up, cogs from SU punched (now retired) and I've also used one of my new dies Large Scallop edge which I think is nice.
Off to put another load in the washing machine....the joys of housework!!

Apothecary Art....
My lovely blogging friend Annie sent me some beautiful lace all the way from Australia, I spotted the lace on one of Annie's cards.
As I wanted to show off the lace I've used one of the stamps from S.U. Apothecary Art set and kept the card simple.
Backing papers are all Stampin Up, corners are from Whimsy Stamps. I just added a few pearls in the centre of the lace one on the corner dies.
Its a beautiful day here down in Somerset and the sun it out.
A set of drawers in my craft room collapsed on Saturday so I have been trying to a sort some of my cupboards and drawers out and have decided to do at least one a day....like all crafters I have things that I haven't used in years so its time for them to be used or ditched..I have a feeling that charity shop will do well..lOl...lOl. At least I hope to end up with a lot more space in my tiny room...

Christmas....
Trying to make to odd Christmas card, I've decided that due to postage costs apart from the odd one or two unless my cards can be hand delivered then then most of cards Christmas cards this year will be quite flat so they can go by normal 2nd class postage.
Back to my card...another card using the leaf mask and Sparkle Medium..which I have done on acetate and put the texture side to the card.
Being a glittery card it doesn't need much else on it so just popped a Spellbinders in the corner.

Not a very good picture of my card as the weather here this morning is awful, dark and raining so not ideal to take photographs!

Besotted Butterflies
I couldnt resist these gorgeous Butterfly stamps from a new stamp company called 'Simply Besotted' which is owned by the lovely Stephanie Winncot..
These stamps were lovely to use and they stamped beautifully....
so pop over and see their other range of stamps.
For my card I used the Spellbinders Basic Lattice die which I popped into an aperture card and a Cheery Lynn flourish die. The set also includes sentiments and I've used one of them..

Heartfelt creation....
Have been playing with some more of my new crafty goodies this time with one of the stamps from Heartfelt Creations 'Posy Patch Garden Delights' set.
For the background I stenciled the 'Leaf Swirl' mask from Imagination Crafts using SU Old Olive ink pad and the popped it through my Bigshot.
Coloured the watering can with Copic and 3D some of the flowers.
Used the Tessatina Memory Box trellis die along the bottom, the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.
Sorry its not a very good photograph...
Its a lovely day down here in Somerset the sun is shining. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Sparkle Medium....
I've been having a little play with some of the Sparkle Medium and masks that I bought from Imaginations Crafts at down Westpoint. Very difficult to photograph glitter on black shiny card.
Have used the Silver Medium on this card, the mask is called 'Lacy Swirl Border' and the flower is from a stamp set by Imagination crafts called 'The Decoupage Range...but only used the flower head from the largest stamp in the set... I have used the whole stamp on another card which I will post at a later stage.
Decided not to add anything else on the card but did think about putting green leaves behind the flower head...what do you think??
Off to Patchwork later so catch up with you all again tomorrow...

St Lukes Challenge....
A new month and a new challenge from St Lukes Charity card Challenge and this months challenge is' SIMPLE CHRISTMAS'....
We would like to see simple designs with lots of white space on your cards..
.
Although having 3 layers of white card and a flower my card was so quick and simple to make as its all die cutting and a little bit of punching.
I used my new Marianne Creatable Anja Die which I have layered up and also used Spellbinders Ponsettia die, added a few punched fern leaves and a little bit of ribbon...Alhough using a fancy die there is still lots of white space....
Our prize this month has kindly been donated my Waltzing Mouse Stamps and is a lovely stamp sheet called: Twas the night before Christmas'.

Visit the St Lukes Charity card Challenge see what the other DT members have come up with this month...
We look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations...Anne

Heres looking at you...
A lot of reflection on this card from the holographic card but this is the best I can do.....
A lady wanted a card with an old Movie star on but with flowers! Not that easy so this is what I have come up with. Image I found on the net..backing papers are from Paper Cellar and I have used one of my new dies the Cheery Lynn Flourish leaf strip, Cuttlebug Wicker weave embossing folder used along the side..just added a 3 rose which aren't bright white but it all I had....hope she likes it!
We have sunshine and blue skies down here in Somerset this morning..hope you all have a good week end..

Westpoint haul
Just to say thank you for your lovely comments on yesterdays posting but you will probably notice the comments are'nt there...well after reading them I hit the wrong button and promptly deleted them!! What a numpty...
Anyway had a great day at Westpoint, great company and thought you might like to see my stash of goodies that I bought....more new dies, a few stamps, and some gold, silver and black embossing paste and a few more masks to play with. I also bought some glitter card, 6 x 6 cards which are in the picture. Considering I only had 4 items on my shopping list I didn't do too badly!!
Promise I wont delete any more of your lovely comments today..lOl...lOl.
Anne
Flora commented on the Britannia number dies that I bought, Rob Adams of CD fame is now producing his own dies and these are his, he also had some wording dies in 2 different sizes....

Under the Mistletoe....
Another LOTV image that Eileen and I coloured when trying out her Spectrum Noir pens....didn't have a red in her sest so used a Copic red to darken up the deepest pink.
Backing paper is from stash and has no name on it...Sizzix Dotty embossing folder used as well a a Mistletoe Die from Sizzix....
My verdict on the Spectrum Noir pens....I think we managed well on the two Sets we had but for me Copic's beat them hands down and I prefer brush ends as opposed to bullet nibs.
Off down to the Craft Show Westpoint, nr Exeter today with friends... not a lot on my list to buy but as always will come home with other goodies that I WANT!....will let you know tomorrow....

Under the Umbrella
Yesterday afternoon I spent with my friend Eileen playing with her new Spectrunm Noir pens, we had the two sets to work from the Lights and the Pastels...we had no red but used the darkest pink...apart from the flesh colours( we used pencils) I think they worked very well.
Using one of the new LOTV Christmas images....backing papers were from a pad from DCWV called Rose Tinted Christmas... Used a Martha Stewart holly punch and the sentiment is also from LOTV.
Just noticed the children are walking down hill...lOl...lOl.
Will post the other one we did tomorrow.

Bella...
A really quick card this morning..I visited My Mums Craft shop last week and they had a lovely selection of the lovely Wild Rose Bella stamps and papers...unfortunately they had sold out of this particular stamp but I liked I so much I bought the pre coloured die cuts....which are also great for really quick cards! I will buy the stamp when its back in stock.
Backing papers are all from the Bella Paper pack, Spellbinders frame and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Just added a little bit of glitter in the centre of the flowers....
Slowing getting used to my new PC but still cant get used to my tiny keyboard so you might just get a few 'smelling pistakes' along the way..lOl...lOl...
Have a good day
