Recylcing is the theme for our Penny Black challenge this week.
The stamp is from one of Penny Blacks clear sets called 'Wonderful day' and has been coloured with Copics and mounted onto a Nellie Snellen die cut.
The backing paper is from my stash, the swirl is from Magnolia and the recycling bits are: flowers punched from and old bought birthday card, the buttons from the collor of a mans shirt and even the sentiment I've used from and old birthday card which I've sponged and just mounted onto card.

Less is More...Sketch
Well we've just come back having spent a lovely week on the south coast in glorious sunshine and cant believe how quickly that week has gone.
Another great challenge from Chrissie and Mandi over at Less is More and this week we have a sketch card.... It makes a change for me not to stamp but just loved the colour of this card and managed to find the right Prima flowers to go with it and have just popped a brad in the centre. I've also used the S.U. square lattice embossing folder. The font I have used is my favourite it's called Black Chancery.

It is a change for me not to stamp and so this week I have used a twisted pyramarge image. I've had for a very long time so not sure where it came from. THe paper backing is from my stash. The metallic part of my card is an embossed metallic strip again had it for ages and knew one day I would us it! Oval Su punches.

Simple wedding card
I was asked to make a simple wedding card but with roses on so hope this fits the bill.
Backing paper is handemade paper that I bought at Exeter craft show last year, it has silver embossing on it and I have attached it using a bit of glue hidden by the pearl hearts. Image is one of LOTV lovely wedding ones. All I have done is to add a bit of glitter to the image and mount it onto pink card then I;ve added a few roses and rose leaves. Simple sentiment.

Easter Card thats different....
I know a few of you have seen this or similar card before but as I dont have a new card to post today thought I would re-post it as I have a friend coming over today who is in her 81st year and we are making Easter cards and as well as traditional cards she likes 'fun' ones for her grandchildren so hopes she likes this one.
THe stamp is from the CraftFairy and is just called 'Giraffe in an Eggshell'. Have 3D the eggshell so it looks as if he's popping out. Papers are from K and Co. Martha Stewart Butterfly punch.

Less is More challenge.....
Like a lot of people I am really enjoying the challenges from Less is More Chrissie and Mandi have certainly made us think about our cards for these challenges.
I was just about to post my card when I saw that my friend Karen had used the same stamp that I had used so had to start again.....
This weeks challenge is 'One Layer - off the page'. For this I have used the lovely Asian Poppy stamp by Hampton Art Stamps. Coloured with Copic pens and I have used a sentiment from one of the Stampin up Sets called 'Whimsical Words'.
Kathy asked what about the copics coming through the card. I dont normally colour with copics directly onto my card but I will put some decorative paper inside.

Penny Black Challenge...
Last week I was so busy didn't even have time to do the Penny Black challenge which isn't like me so this week I made sure I did it first thing this morning as I have another busy week ahead.
Our challenge for this week is GREEN..... This stamp is called 'missed you', coloured with copics and mounted onto nesties.
Backing paper is S.U. For the flower I used the large Retro flower punch then punched the petals with the S.U. eyelet punch and it looks a bit like the Do Hickey flower die, well I think so! A few faux brads and S.U. ovals to finish off the card.

Bah Humbug challenge...
The girls over on Bah Humbug design team have shown us some lovely cards for inspiration for this weeks challenge which is Apertures.
My card started off with the image inside a small red aperture card but SOMEONE stuck the wrong side of the card together so it wouldn't open!!! So not to waste it I just cut the front off the original card and mounted onto a 5 x 7 card...I'm sure lots of you have also done this in your time????
My image for this challenge is from LOTV and my lovely friend Jan very kindly let me stamp this image. Coloured with copic pens. Backing paper is from Craft Creations . S.U. punches also used.
Max we hope to see you back soon...

Simply WIld..........
Thought you might like to see another one of my sample cards that I made for last nights club night. Instead of using one of the Big and Juicy ink pads to brayer with I used on of the Kaleidacolor ink pads called Creole Spice. Brayered the background then stamped my images using Judikins Africa Safari cube stamp. To finish off the card I used a button with a face on and a some card candy.
Going to do a bit of spring cleaning today although its not very spring like out there at the moment!!

Warren....
This is Warren...one of the lovey pre printed rabbit images from Craftwork Cards.
Tomorrow night is our club night and we are doing various backgrounds. This is one of my sample cards which I've made creating a background using distress ink pads and Glimmer Mists. Colour your card randomly using a pad and distress inks I've used 3 on here Mustard Seed, spiced marmalade and peeled paint, then spray your card with your choice of glimmer mists, on this card I've just used gold only. When the background was dry I've used a Cuttblebug embossing folder then added a touch of glitter.
Warren has been coloured using Copic pens, Cuttlebug flower die used with the sentiment.

Less is More Challenge...
I'm loving this challenge although I do find it hard not to put more on the cards.....
Pastel Colours is our challenge this week from Less is More.
Stampin Up 'Live your Dream' is where this lovely image came from. The image I've coloured direct to stamp with pens. I've used S.U. pretty in pink and certainly celery colours. Backing paer is also S.U. and you will have noticed by now that I DID sneek in a couple of pearls for the centre of the flowers! Ribbon is also certainly celery.

Bah Humbug challenge...
Haven't posted much this week as I have had a stinking cold but thankfully its on its way out now.
The weeks seems to be flying by and another week gone and another Bah Humbug challenge. Embossing is this weeks challenge.
I've used Cuttlebug Embossed Christmas Tree, added a little bit of glitter and a few pearls to it before layering it up onto black and turquoise card. Corner Adorner punches and a small coloured snowflake with a white brad also added.
