Engagement Card

Good morning everyone hope you all had a lovely Christmas all that preparation and it's over in a flash!
It's lovely to get back into my craft room albeit for only a couple of hours this morning I was begining to get withdrawal symptoms!
My card this morning is an engagement card, the image is a penny black one, backing papers are by S.U. Whist visiting a friend a little while ago she very kindly let me cut some of her Marianne Designs and this is one of them that I have used to mount my little mice on.
S.U. Lattice Square embossing folder used across the bottom along with the Martha Stewart heart punch. Flowers and ribbon from stash.

Happy Birthday Grace

Happy Birthday Grace.....our little granddaughter is 3 today so we have a small birthday party to go to this afternoon.

I've used a LOTV image of this little cat with 3 candels on his cake, backing paper from stash. Cut the image out with a nestie then placed the image inside one of the new Marianne Dies.
MS border punched used. The balloon I saved from the LOTV and popped on a number 3, hope Grace likes her card.

Sorry for not posting.....

Sorry for the lack of posts over the past week but my dear mother in law passed away on Wednesday. She had 20 years of torment suffering from Altzheimers, shes is now at peace. She was the best MIL anyone could ask for full of fun and kindness and I have so many happy memories of her. Barbara, I love and miss you....

Hopefully I will be back in my craft room by the end of the week.

Penny Black Challenge....

Our challenge for Penny Black this week is 'Stamping on anything but white card'.
This image has been sat in my 'bit box' for quite some time so thought it was time I used it.
Stamped onto kraft card and I've used white gel pen to highlight the flowers.
All card and backing paper is by Stampin Up, Scallop trim punch is also S.U.
Swirl die is from Sizzix, retro flower punches and of course a few pearls....think I might have O.D. on them...hee...hee
Sentiment by Craftwork cards and mounted onto SU Extra Large modern label punch. Corners are S.U. and another.
My card looks a bit 'wonky' on this post but I think it's how the picture has been taken.....

Look what I have won......

As you know I enter a couple challenges every week one of them being Bah Humbug and I have been lucky enough to have won the prize drawer for 2010, just take a look at the picture, am I a lucky girl or what?
It's a great challenge to do and of course every week you are adding to your christmas card pile so you could end up with almost 52 cards for next year so when it resumes in January why not have a go they also have some lovely spot prizes along the way.
Thank you to the DT of Bah Humbug there have been lots and lots of lovely inspirational card over the past year.

Mice warm Blanket.....

This little mouse looks like I feel today COLD.....we are having a new kitchen put in and we have had no heating for 2 days apart from our wood burner. Also I've no cooker or freezer, our freezer died last week, our new cooker should have been here tomorrow along with the new freezer but both have been delayed until the 10th December! Thank goodness for ready meals and daughers!!
I need to do a few quick cards for children and this is one of them. Its a House Mouse stamp called 'mice warm blanket'. Coloured with pencils and then I have added a little bit of Snowtex on the branches
Backing paper from stash, circle greeting is one of LOTV, MS icicle border punch, large Cuttlebug snowflake die.
Time for another cuppa...bbbrrrrrr......
