Penny Black Challenge...

This weeks Penny Black challenge is 'Special Someone'.
I've used the 'Hedgehog Joy' stamp coloured it with pencils and chalks. Backing paper is from my stash. SU Ticket punch used on the corners of the stamped image, layered onto card and then onto card which has been punched along the bottom using SU eyelet punch.
Decorative lace 'lace' used down the side of the card, Prima Flower in the corner and mini Papermanis pearls added to the card. SU Oval punch also used. Just becuase I care sentiment comes from the SU set Best Yet.

Bah Humbug challenge...Baubles

Sadly this card didn't photograph very well.....This weeks Bah Humbug challenge is Baubles, didn't have an appropriate stamp so used the Hobby Art 'Ornate' flower to make a bauble. Stamped onto parchement and embossed using Jewelled Gold embossing powder which again doesn't show up very well. Put two of the flowers together and joined them using a Papermana brad. The sentiment is from the Su set Season of Joy.
The bauble backing paper was a scrap I had left in my christmas box so cant tell you who's it is.
Craftwork card candy used to finish the card off.

Baby Carriage....

Late posting today...but better late than never!
I know quite a few people who expecting babies this year (including one of my daughters!) so thought I had better make a start on some baby cards.
This stamp is by Rubber Stampede and is called 'Baby Carriage'. Stamped onto water colour paper and I have also used watercolours to keep the image 'soft'l layered the image onto pink and silver card.
Martha Stewart Lace border punch across the middle with some SU ribbon, daisy from stash. Backing paper and sentiments are from one of the Pebbles Inc. Share & Tell creative pads.

Oh So Lovely....

Just a quick post this morning.

This little stamp comes from the SU set 'Oh so lovely'. Stamped and coloured with polychromos pencils. Blue card and backing paper is also from SU.
Sentment comes from the SU 'Pocket Silhouettes' set then punched out using SU window punch with another blue piece behind it giving it a 'shadow' effect. Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder also used for background.

Wild about You....

I'm really enjoying my new'Wild about you' set which I managed to buy on that well known auction site! Have stamped all the animals in SU inks, Certainly celery, Pretty in Pink and So Saffron the little bird was stamped in Pink Passion, have also used SU backing paper and card. Leaves punched using L-Em punch, SU oval punches and scallop border punch. Matching certainly celery ribbon used acriss the front of the card.
Think there will be a few more of these cards!!!

Bah Humbug challenge 3 - All that Glitters

Another challenge this time its Bah Humbug 'All that Glitters'.
I've used the little penquin stamp from SU 'Wild about you' set. Stamped him in black and then layered him onto black card, using the SU scallop circle punch punched this out using glitter card. Cuttlebug large snowflake die has also been cut out using glitter card and a brad placed in the centre.
'Cool Christmas' sentiment is by Elzbells, Martha Stewart Zig Zag punch used along the bottom of the card. Backing paper is SU designer Bashful Blue set.

Craftwork Card challenge...A is for ACETATE

For the Craftwork Cards challenge we had to use acetate. Stamped the Hero Arts 'Gracious Lady' onto acetate on a pierce of card sprayed Glimmer Mists colours Patina, Gold and a bit of Keylime Pie, once that was dry I scrunched up the card the when over it lightly with a deep blue ink pad. Added the acetate on the top and attached with brads. Mounted it onto SU certainly Celery card and cut out two Sizzix decorative swirls and added them top and bottom. Mounted the topper then onto SU Not Quite Navy card then onto SU Certainly Celery designer paper . Finished off the card with a sentiment from Craftwork card and mounted onto SU oval punches.

These challenges are certainly keeping me busy.....

Penny Black challenge...

It's that time of week again the .Penny Black challange.
This weeks challenge is 'Something Sweet' so I have gone for the 'aahh' factor. The stamp is called seeing your face'....it's a very versatile stamp that I use for lots of different cards. The image has been coloured using pencils and chalks then cut out using oval Nesties.
Backing is SU designer paper, SU Eyelet border punch used on the bottom and I've added some small pearls. SU oval punches and the sentiment comes from the SU set 'Best Yet' which has some lovely saying in it.

Sweet Ebony.....

While visiting a friend the other day she had a couple of new stamps and she very kindly let me stamp a couple fo images this being one of them. It is an Elizabeth Bell design and from from her Ebony collection. Backing paper from stash, Fiskars Apron punch used on the side border and I managed to find some matching ribbon.
Prima flowers' punched leaves, sentiment is from SU set called 'One of a Kind'... Pearls added to ribbon.

Maggie in the Rain.....

I needed to make a 'bright card' so have used this little lady, she is called 'Splashing Maggie' and its one of the Sugar Nellie stamps. I stamped a couple of images while visiting a friend as I thought she was cute.
She has been coloured with Copic pens, Card,backing paper and card is Stampin Up, Martha stewart Arch punch used across the middle, Cuttlebug flower die and cuttlebug Swiss dots folder. Senitment is from the SU Circle of Friendship stamp set.

Buzz in the Air.....

Another Penny Black image this time it's called 'Buzz in the Air'. I have been digging deep into my stamping drawers to see what stamps haven't had an airing for a while, although I should be using all my lovely new SU sets!

Image coloured with pencils and again mounted onto a square Nellie frame. Have you noticed that the new Fiskars 'Apron Lace' punche matches the square Nellies beautifully.....The backing paper and ribbon and flower is from my stash and I've added a little bee charm under the flower, he doesn't really show up that well on the photo.
Cuttlebug flower dies and also a sentiment from the SU set 'Circle of Friendship'. Just off to meet my friend Val for a coffee and catch up.

Bah Humbug.......

Missed the first challenge over at Bah Humbug but thought I would join in this weeks.
This weeks challenge is to make a Christmas card using something new or nearly new so what did I have forChristmas....yes...NELLIES...so of course soI just HAD to use another frame and of course my new Fiskars Apron Lace punch as well. The decoupage is came off a re-cycled Christmas card, the small flower is a stamp by Hobby Art called 'Ornate flower' stamped into vellum with white glitter embossing powder, two flowers put together with a red brad. Backing paper and ribbon from stash.

PB Challenge.......

Blue, Cream and gold is the theme of this weeks Penny Black challange so I have used 'All dressed up' image. The 'Z' card doesn't show up very well in the photograph. Coloured him with watercolours, the Happy Birthday frame is also Penny Black and then mounted onto Nestabilites large scallop frame. Backing paper is SU and Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder also used. Fiskars Apron Lace punch used on the sides. Cream flower and punched leaves from stash.

R is for Ribbon challenge.....

Another Craftwork Card challenge and this time is for 'R' which is for ribbon. Papers, ribbons etc are from one of Craftwork Cards £10 collections bags that I bought last year.
SU window punched used in the left hand corner with card candy on it, SU 1 3/8 circle punch also used. Buttons from stash.

Craftwork Cards challenge..

Craftwork Cards have started a new challenge....usingthe letters that make up their name. This weeks challenge is C....and for this we have to use some of their Card Candy.
The image I have used is Tilda Dinner, she has been coloured using pencils...trying also to use up bits that have been sitting on my desk for the past week or so I've used up another of the Nellie's frames this time a circle frame. All the backing paper,card and ribbon is from Stampin Up. Craftwork cards card candy, flowers from stash, punched leaves.

Butterflies...

My friend Carolynne gave me some die cuts from her Cuttlebug Butterfly die & embossing set so thought I ought to make a card using a couple of them.
The butterflies has been sponged using SU ink pad Eggplant and Lavender lace then stick together with double sided pads, butterfly has then been mounted onto one of the square Nellie frames The colours used on the card are all from the SU range, backing paper from stash, SU eyelet border punch, Cuttlebug Flower dies, punched butterfly, pearls and ribbon from stash.

Penny Black Challenge.....

The first Penny Black challenge for 2010 is HappyNew Year the stamp I have used for this is 'Garden Visit' as it looks like the hedgehog is saying 'Happy New Year' to his little friend the snail!!
Image is coloured with pencils then cut out with the largest of the Nellie's rectangular frames. Layered up the image made an easel card. Cuttlebug corner, Stampin Up scallop punch, SU circles punches, Martha Stewart Arch border punch. All card used is Stampin UP.
