I have returned.......Gardeners shed...

It' been a few weeks since my last post.....hubby and I had manged to stay clear of the dreaded Covid for over two years and then wallop!
I spent 3 days in bed and was quite poorly but hubby wasn't too bad..   Kept testing and eventually after 12 days we were negative....
Luckily we had booked a few days holiday on the south coast and thankfully we were able to go.   We were so lucky with the weather wall to wall sunshine...Lots of walking along the prom, caught up with family but generally just chilled out..  Like most people who have had Covid we've both felt very tired.....

Anyway back to my card...it's my brothers birthday on Tuesday and I made him a similar card as both he and his wife love gardening and he loves his shed.  I've got several garden related dies so have combined  some to produce my card..  Like a lot of us I always cut too many bits out so have used some of the  'leftovers' to make another card....left a sentiment off for the time being..

What a beautiful day today...we've had our grandson and partner over for lunch which was lovely and spent some time afterwards sat in the garden in the sunshine...

Hopefully I will catch up with your blogs sometime this week...

Thanks for stopping by

Gardeners card....

Our neighbour went in to hospital for a knee replacement this morning, he's a keen gardener so made him this card. I've used a recycled image as he oftern sits with his white hat on in his garden chair.
He's hopefully coming home tomorrow.

Its a beautiful day today here in Somerset but not sure if it will last over the weekend...

Fishing trip anyone.?

Just trying to make a few male cards, you know those 'difficult' ones!

This image is from Delicious Doodles...I've made a few of these cards in the past and they have been very popular...just added a couple of embellishments...

The weather for the moment is still holding out just hope it stays that way for the weekend when we are looking after our grandchildren.

Take care

Thinking of You.....

Hello....sorry for the long gap inbetween posts but its been a stressful 3 weeks or so.  I had another fall which has meant going to A&E 3 times a week to have a wound dressed...the injury is on my right arm so that hasn't been easy and its been painful....yes I know I should take more water with it!
Then I broke a tooth and spent two days visiting the dentist....

We've also after 40 years given up caravanning.....I know its the right time to stop as we're both getting older, my hubby suffers from arthitis and things take a lot longer to do and its painful... its been a brilliant 40years we've visited different countries and also seen lots of England which we probably wouldn't have seen had we not had our caravan....anyway a new chapter starts...

I have managed to put a card together for a friend who's not well....I've  kept the Spring colours as the little PB hedgie is holding a daffodil....

Hopefully over Easter I might get some cards made, although there's lots of things to do in the garden...

Hope you all have a lovely Easter and hope that at least the weather will be dry.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by

Water Lily Skiing...

An old wooden but lovely PB stamp stamp  which goes back to 2001...its called Water Lily skiing. coloured with pencils and popped onto an embossed butterfly background... Used one of my tiny Dragonfly embellishments ( I have lots of these from when they were in 'fashion' years ago).
Kept it very simple.

Well what fabulous weather we are having, you really do have to make the most of it...the gardens centre's have been so busy, Spring is my favourite time of the year when the garden and tubs come alive with colour, it much too nice to be in the craft room.... enjoy the sunshine..

Embroidered Horse...

I'm still around but haven't  been making many cards recently as I've been knitting and crocheting....I knit blankets and hats for premature babies this also gets rid of some of my mountain of wool..

Having a clear out of a sewing box I came across a few embroidered images which I have have for years.  Rather than send them all  to Charity I  have kept a couple which I will use to make cards with the Horse design being one of them.
I found this dotty embossed background in my scrap box which I have coloured with to blend in with the ivy leaves and card....

Thank you for stopping by on this chilly afternoon...

40th Birthday...

Another masculine card this time a commissioned 40th....I just love the Hunky-dory pre printed images for men...made a small map book and added as an embellishment...stuck the 40th onto a squashed bottle top....

We were very lucky during the storm only lots  few ridge tiles which came down with such force a couple were stuck in the lawn like arrows....thankfully they were from the back of the house and not on the main roof....hopefully being replaced next week...weather permitting...
Hopefully you were all safe and didn't have much damage during the awful winds..
It's a bit windy here today and raining...best place in your craft room..
