Winter scene....

Last Thursday I went with a couple of friends to a craft show at Shepton Mallett...not that I needed anymore crafty bits you understand!
It was a lovely surprise to see Jenny Mayes from Hobby Art demonstrating there ... I stood and watched Jenny playing with the Nature Tail set and also using some watercolour Zig pens from Kuretake I decided to buy the stamp set  along with 4 of the pens which I used to colour the reindeer and rabbit.
The above card was my first attempt, not very pleased with it as one of the reindeers looks like his carrying a Christmas tree on his back..

I was so much happier with my 2nd card and although I decided to brush the sky with my duster brushed rather than using watercolour I thought it looked better...I really enjoyed creating the little scenes ... Lookout for what ended up in the bin in my snippets post later next week.

The grandchildren break up today so not a lot of time will be spent crafting..

Have a great weekend...

Pixies Snippets Challenge week 163...

Another week flown by and another Snippets Challenge...
I'm busy sewing at the moment so card making has taken a back seat, but I did make this small card using my new Inktense pencils....very different from pencils I've used before and the colours are so vibrant...
Apart from the main image which is Hobby Art 'Floral Display'   stamped onto watercolour card everything else is from my snippets box....Sue Wilson's Petite vinery, border punch is a Cheery Lynne one, backing paper also from my snippets box.

We have a lovely sunny but cold and frosty morning down here is Somerset there have been some lovely frosted scenes in the mornings.

Back to my sewing machine now...will post something I've made later in the week...

Floral display...

This is an easel card I made for one of our club ladies as we have a birthday list in our Craft Club  and people have the option to join if they wish and as the birthday has now passed I can post my card.

This image is one of my favourite little stamps by Hobby Art called 'Floral Display'.  I made a frame using my scallop and round Nestabilites and raised the frame from the image.  Image coloured with pencils and 3D part of the flower... Also used is some dotty sparkle vellum on my card along with a dotty embossing folder and a little bit of lace.

Bah Humbug...

Can't believe its Friday again...really trying to play catch up this week.  Well Friday means another great challenge from Bah Humbug and this weeks theme is 'Suprise, Surpirse' .    I found this neglected little stamp by Hobby Art just called 'Rudolph' and he looks as if he's saying  'surprise, surprise' poking his head out of the square.   I expect like all crafters you have a box full with scraps of paper and card so the challenge for me was to make my card using the 'scraps'.
Backing paper is from Stampin Up and having also got lots of strips of paper in my 'bit box' and left over punched bits I decided to make my little parcels.
Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather we are having..

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Another great challenge from Less is more and this weeks challenge is one layer.
I've used Hobby Art 'Floral Display' stamp and stamped it on kraft card.
Coloured with prismacolor pencils and used a nestie (upside down) to emboss a square around the image.
'Bloom' sentimant is from S.U. set 'Bloomin with Beauty'.

Thank you for taking the time to visit...

Bah Humbugs challenge this week is Winter Wonderland. This card I made as a sample for one of our club nights when we did shrink plastic.
The tree stamp is from the SU set called Lovely as a tree, the two snowmen are both from Hobby Art and the Holly leaves is an old Antia's stamp.
Trees have been glittered along with the snowmen, Snowtex used for the snow with glitter added on top.

Friends challenge.....

When I met my friend Val last week for coffee we both bought some Papermania 'Hampstead' papers and some lace so we decided it would be fun to both make a card using our new papers and the lace we had just bought. We also decided to use the same stamp image which is the Floral Diplay stamp by Hobby Art.
This is what I have done, I decided to use the greens out of the pack and also I've used MS stewart lace edge punch and of course pop on a few pearls!
Now pop over to Vals blog to see what she has done with her papers and lace.

Floral Display.....

I love this stamp it's by Hobby Art and is called 'Floral Display'.
Image coloured with Prismacolour pencils, again I've used 2 scraps of card one being the pink Cuttlebug swiss dots and the other a line of MS scallop border punch. Backing paper I found in my box so sorry I can't tell you who's it is, but the pink and olive green are SU colours. SU Old Olive ribbon also used.

Bah Humbug.....Snowflakes

This weeks Bah Humbug challenge is snowflakes.
Stamp is a Hobby Arts one called ' Juggling snowballs'. Coloured with copics, Alynees glitter snow to image and small pom poms for the snowballs.
Image mounted onto nestabilities, Fiskars snowflake embossing punch also used and Cuttlebug snowflake die.
Backing paper and card is from SU

Bah Humbug........Snowmen

This weeks Bah Humbug challenge is Snowmen.
The stamp is a Hobby Art one and is called 'Juggling Snowman'.....have painted him with Copic pens, glittered his hat, used glitter snow for the bottom and put minature pom poms for the snowballs. Large scallop circle nesties have used to mount him on.
The backing paper I think is Papermania, the snowflake die is the large Cuttblebug Snowflake die with a papermania brad in the centre, Cuttlebug swiss dots across the centre with a couple of card candy dots on. Sentiment is computer generated.

Bah Humbug challenge...Baubles

Sadly this card didn't photograph very well.....This weeks Bah Humbug challenge is Baubles, didn't have an appropriate stamp so used the Hobby Art 'Ornate' flower to make a bauble. Stamped onto parchement and embossed using Jewelled Gold embossing powder which again doesn't show up very well. Put two of the flowers together and joined them using a Papermana brad. The sentiment is from the Su set Season of Joy.
The bauble backing paper was a scrap I had left in my christmas box so cant tell you who's it is.
Craftwork card candy used to finish the card off.

Shrink Plastic

These are the shrink plastic sample cards that we are doing as one of our projects at the Crafty Bunch club meeting next Weds.

The girls have a choice of either doing the dragonfly, Daisy cat or the Daisy flower. They only have 1 hr to complete each project so we try to keep it nice and simple as it nice to take home a completed card. We hope by Wednesday the awful snow and ice will have gone!
