Pixies Snippets Playground week 218 .....

Can't believe its two weeks since my last post but had a lovely week with the children when they were off and last week I've continued clearing through my craft room.
The two little lace dogs I bought bought back from Bruge as a gift for my mum years ago and when she passed away I kept the little lace dogs and found them again when opening a box of bits and bobs last week and thought I could use them on a card so here it is... along with other snippets of card I managed to make this little anniversary card and thought it would be great to enter it in this weeks Pixies snippets Playground challenge....
The framed card is cut from a Spellbinders die.

Sorry if I've not visited your blogs for a while but will try and get round them this week...

Tepee cards....

When our club meet last Wedsnesday evening we made Tepee cards very easy to make, I used 3 squares to make each of mine, the little kitty card I made from 3 x 4 1/2" squares and the little Christmas one was made using 3 x 4" squares, two red and one black.
Both cards were made using bits from my snippets box..
This is what they look like from the side...they do fold flat to post and the 3 x 4" square one fits nicely into a 6 x 6 envelope...you can either use a little velcro dot to fasten them or make a small slit and tuck one of the ends in...I was lazy and used a tiny velcro dots which I found on ebay.

Didn't get chance last week to craft as I was looking after a poorly grandson and of course next week is half term so I wont be posting anything until next weekend as we shall be spending time with the grandchildren.

Happy Birthday wishes Val .....

Today is my friend Val's birthday and this is the card I made her. Using the Arianna Blooms again ( I love this Heartfelt set) I stamped the flowers onto pale green parchment and embossed with white WOW powder, the other dies I have used are Tonic Trellis (I used the 'waste' from the front to make my previously posted card) and Joanna sheens Wisteria die for the foliage, banner die S.U.
Sorry about the awful photograph but it was a very dark and dull day when I took the picture is this was the best of 3...roll on spring....

Yesterday I went to a craft show at Westpoint near Exeter with friends, it was a mixture of crafts and sewing...we were all very good in not buying very much, I did keep to my resolution and not buy any crafty goodies in January but needed  essentials yesterday so I bought two lots of glue, pretty card boxes 50 for £10 from Anna Marie so shared them with a friend, a small stencil, 2 sponges and slightly bigger banner die than the one on the above card and I treated myself to a brooch pennant....
just goes to show I have more than enought crafty stash to use and hopefully  thats all my buying in February too.

Have a good weekend ...

Baby fairy....

I love these pre-coloured baby fairy images from Hobby House... I've struggled to get a good photograph this morning as the weather is awful its raining and blowing a gale and its so dark...because my card is on a slant it looks like the fairy is about to topple over!
I've used part of a Tonic Lattice die to mount her on, flowers were in my 'bit box' and so was the little green swirl...

I seem to have lost another 5 followers again this morning Mr Blogger is certainly messing around...gggrrrrr

Arianna blooms...

This is a card  I made for my friend Janet who's birthday it was yesterday.

I thought it was time I stamped my Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms.  Jan loves parchement so I decided to stamp and emboss onto white parchment and coloured the flowers from behind with Copic pens.  I also added the behind the flowers one of Sue Wilsons Filigree Poinsetta dies which I thought looked effective instead of green leaves.
The embossing folder came free with Papercraft Essential magazine last year, backing paper is from Stampin Up.

We have sunshine down here in Somerset this morning which is lovely to see after all the rain we've had lately.
