Less is More - Week 34

LIM challenge  is a card plan this week with the image on the top left hand side and sentiment on the right hand corner.
I needed to make a 'thank you' card so thought card would be fit this weeks challenge.
Image stamped from S.U. 'Just Believe' set and rather than put a sentiment across the stamped image I've placed some tiny punched out flowers with pearl centres.  Sentiment is computer generated.

My craft room is in great need of a tidy up so thats my job for this morning....where's that 'tidy up' fairy when you need her??

Promise not to laugh - My efforts....

We have a really fun morning yesterday in our FIMO workshop the lovely Sarah from Character Creations came and tried to teach 10 of us how to make these little characters and also a loaf of bread, I managed also to make a cottage loaf with left over clay.
Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera so all I have to show you is mine.  Well they aren't exactly wonderful but at least I have had a go and we all had a lots of laughs along the way.  My Christmas fell apart as it was going in the oven but I thought I would still show you.  My cat looks as thought he has an absess as his whiskers are too big and his head lobsided, my bears head and paws are also  too big but the gingerbread man and snowman I am quite happy with.... We shall be doing another workshop next year and next time will take my camera...

Sarah's work is amazing please pop to her website and have a look, she has made a wedding cake topper for one of my daughters and also two Christening cake toppers, on the wedding topper she copied my daughters wedding dress and her husbands waistcoat they even looked like them and the same with the christening toppers....Sarah is such a clever lady...

A Rose is a Rose

So late in posting today and no post yesterday.....Well I do have an excuse for yesterday as I went to the craft show at Westpoint, Exeter with friends, we had a brilliant day but we all spend too much money but we all came home happy 'bunnies'

This card has been sat on my desk for almost a week so thought I had better post it, the rose is from S.U. A Rose is a Rose stamp set, backing papers, embossing folders and ribbon are also S.U.  Mounted the rose onto a Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder then onto a Marianne die.
I wont be posting tomorrow as I am going to a FIMO workshop with some of the girls from our craft club...

A parcel from Holland...

I had a lovely surprise on Monday a lovely package from Cornelie my lovely blogging friend in Holland. A beautiful card was inside my parcel along with some lovely stamped images.  Cornelie and I decided to exchange some images of different stamps that hopefully neither of us had got...what a wonderful selection Cornelie sent me and I shall look forward to colouring them in.  Pop over to Cornelie's blog and check out her lovely cards...

Bah Humbug - challenge 37

How quickly the weeks seem to be flying by now but at least I have a lovely pile of Christmas cards already thanks to the Bah Humbug
This weeks challenge is called 'Flourishes/Swirls'.  My image is a stamp by Magenta..coloured with copics and I've sponged the background, 3D the flower and using glossy accents in the centre added some gold 'Accent beads'.  The 'swirls' on the background are from one if the Cuttlebug embossing folders.  Sentiment if from S.U.  The photograph isn't good as theres is rather a lot of gold on the card and as you know it always reflects....

LOTV....

Love this image from LOTV.....just added a little more colour to the die cut image and mounted onto Nesties.
Backing paper is Core'dination card which I've put through the Bigshot using a Creative Expressions mask called Delicate Mask then useing a fine sander block just sanded over the top until the 'core' colour came through.  I thought the dark purple was too much so just added the same mask but in whate and cut a small slice off and put on the top of the purple.  Added some raffia across the back, flower and a few pearls to finish the card off.  The settiment is from Craftwork Cards.
