A commission card I was asked to make was for a man who plays Canasta.....So after scratching my head I remembered I had some paper napkins in my box that had games pieces on it.
Got out the Mod Podge and remembered I had some tiny playing cards that came out of a cracker one Christmas so used those on the Canasta score sheet I was given to use.
I made the pencil from a cocktail stick, rolled in ink and hey presto one pencil.
Tomorrow I'm going to have a go at making some bread following the gorgeous Paul Hollywoods recipe...that man has the most amazing blue eyes......will let you know how it turns out...

Great card Anne, so very well done too. My Father played Canasta along with a group that got to-gether during the war and they stayed friends for most of their life, of course there was no telly then. Hugs Rita xx

Hi Anne, This is one clever card. I was asked a few years back to make a card for a man who loved to play poker. I was like you and had to get my thinking hat on and created one using real cards etc. I love all the different elements you have used and the cocktail stick pencil is a fab idea! Love the napkins too.
ReplyDeleteHope your having a lovely day!

Wow, you are so creative Anne and I love what you were able to come up with here. I smiled when I saw your small playing cards because I too had some in a cracker some time back and put them away somewhere safe for when I want to use them on a card. They were nowhere to be found when I wanted to make a poker card! Hope you enjoy making your bread - I am going to see the blue eyes in person on Monday when he is giving a local cookery demonstration!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Anne, how clever to use those tiny cards ( must keep mine next time, makes mental note!). Yes I agree about the blue eyes too :) Viv xx
