Gone to Seed...Sympathy

After seeing Jules's post a few weeks ago reminded me that I had bought this lovely Woodware stamp a long time ago...managed to find my stamp,  blew off the dust and made a couple of cards....
I did initially buy this stamp to use  for a sympathy card and also a masculine card....  I just coloured the seed pods and put some little seed beads in the centre of the dandelion flower..

Had notification last night from the Government saying because I am classed as extremely vulnerable I have to isolate now until the end of March...that might be reviewed mid March but I'm not holding by breath...
Just looking forward to getting out for a little walk when my foot is better...  We've made it this far so what's another 6 weeks!..  I'm so thankful I have my crafts and hobbies to keep me sane...

Stay safe...

Anne

  1. A really lovely stamp which does seem very suitable for a sympathy card, especially in these muted colours. I guess it would do for other occasions if coloured more brightly. I'm sure the 6 weeks will pass quickly - time certainly still seems to fly no matter what else is going on.

  5. Hi Anne

A beautiful card. Love the soft tones in the background and the way you have coloured the image.

This is probably my favourite Woodware stamp and it hardly ever gets put away as I am always using it.

The dots around the edge frame your artwork beautifully.

Sorry to hear about your six week stint .. .. I am sure your hobbies will help the time fly by!

Fingers crossed your foot will soon be properly mended.

    Love Jules xx

  7. This is a Woodware stamp that I have had my eye on for ages, not got it yet though. You have used it beautifully here Anne with the bit of colour and texture with the seed beads and the soft background inking, and love the pretty die cut mat with the grey one behind and mounted on to a kraft card. This works beautifully as a sympathy card. x

  11. A beautiful card and a reminder for me that I too have that lovely stamp and mine hasn't been inked up in ages either! I'm sorry to read that you have to isolate until the end of March. Hopefully, by then, things will be on the up and life might be getting back to normal again. As much as I want this lockdown to end, I don't want us to end up in this state again, so I would much rather put up with this a little longer. Take care of yourself and enjoy your crafting xx

The March isolation is a pain - but we're better safe than sorry. x

  17. Beautiful image Anne - I am particularly fond of all the neutral colors and I love using kraft paper.
Our government is so mixed up right now no one knows what is going on!
I live in Florida and our governor has really opened up our state and everything seems to be moving forward especially for restaurants and small businesses. Like other states, we have had our share of illness and death. It is a sad time for the world.
Your sympathy card is appropriate for us all as we sympathize with all the people who have lost loved ones.
