I was hoping to be able to post cards from our club project for this month but some lovely people have stolen the heating oil from our village hall ...so no heating at all in the hall and its certainly far too cold to sit and craft. Our village has no gas in it at all so oil is our only means of heating apart from electric.... ...is .nothing is safe any more??
One of the project for this months club was making backgrounds using the acetate, tissue and alcohol ink technique so thought I would post a card as a taster and we will now do this project for ur May meeting.
Stamp used is 'Pleasant Poppies' from Stampin Up....Alcohol ink colours used for the backing are Lettuce, Red Pepper & Willow.. For the butterflies I've used the Stampin Up butterfly die and used a piece of card from the backing acetate.. Old Olive ribbon.....

A disgusting thing for someone to do Anne, but they are out there....a lovely card though, wonderful colours and a real pleasure to view.xx

The thieving beggars Anne - we're also oil only as there's no gas at all up our lane where we live currently - so I know how cold a place can get without any heat at all. What kind of a society we're living in I do not know - I mean heating oil from a Village Hall????
ReplyDeleteBears out what I think in that many people have been brought up to have no thought/respect/consideration for anyone else and if they want something they just take it.. and before anyone says anything this is not down to Mrs Thatcher - it's down to the thieving moron's own moral standards which are obviously in the gutter.
Love the card by the way (now my rant is over!!) x
Oh Anne thats aweful maybe next week you'll be back again and creating gorgeous creations like this one here its absolutely stunning x
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing just how low some people will stoop - absolutely nothing is safe nowadays.

ReplyDeleteOh Anne that's awful but I know it's happening mroe and more - my friend who lives in the country has had their oil stolen from their house a couple of times - I guess its cos the price has gone up so much its now worth the hassle of stealing it and selling it on.
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful and I'm sure everyone will love making it next month - hope its warmer by then!
