Birthday card....

It was my friend Janet's birthday yesterday and this was the card that I made for her.. Wanted to do something different so I pulled out my box of ORNARE pricking templates.
I completely pricked the whole image then pricked the centre part of the template twice before cutting it out and mounting it onto some holographic card. I then cut out just the centre circle and attached that with a brad so that the middle swung opened to reveal Jan's name.  Added a few flowers and some tiny pearls which unfortunately dont show up that well....

Well the sun is shining today and that makes you feel a whole lot better, hopefully the snow will keep away...

Anne

  11. Beautiful card Anne. Love the look & I've never a pricking template. Can you stitch in the holes if you wanted to? It's so lovely how you added her name under the movable circle.
Glad the sun is shining for you today.

  24. Wow - that brought back memories Anne - I used to love using Ornare pricking templates - how silly of me to give them away. You have created such a wonderful background - so elegant and classy, and I love how you concealed the name inside the circle. Absolutely fabulous!
Keep warm - Hugs, Sylvia xx
