Birthday Boy...


My hubby had a big birthday on Weds a so we celebrated it with all the family yesterday. 
My lovely friend Eileen wanted to make the cake which was delicious and I had an idea of what to put on the top.  We are into 1940's weekends where we dress up and one of Andy' outfits is a Petty Officers uniform, so I contacted my very talented friend Sarah Pitcher of Character Creations who makes the most amazing toppers from polymer clay and sent a picture of Andy in his uniform and asked to her make me a topper for his cake....

The ribbon around the cake just says Hand Made with love which was very apt considering everything was handmade with love......

    That is brilliant, Sarah is very talented - glad the cake was nice too. I'm sure Andy was thrilled and I assume not too disappointed he didn't get the chocolate caterpillar cake he thought was destined for him!
