Happy Birthday Eileen.....

Before I mention the above birthday card this has been a very difficult week for me loosing my lovely friend Karen of (Serendipty Dragaonfly).
Karen and I meet 13 years or more at a craft show when I was demonstrating, Karen always used to turn up and watch my demonstration  we always chatted a lot and we just clicked....several ladies asked if I would start up a craft group and instantly Karen said 'I will help you'...so that was the start of a great friendship and also was how our Crafty Bunch club got started that was nearly 12 years ago.
Karen was so talented not just with making cards but everything, sewing, painting, machine embriodery and was also a great cook, she even used to grow veggies and enter them in local shows and won, there was nothing she couldn't turn her hand to...
Karen had to step down from club 17 months ago due to her cancer, she was a great loss to our club but always wanted to know what we were up to.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tony and Karen's sister Val (Canonbury Creations) and family.. ..we miss you lovely lady....

The above card was made for my friend Eileen who's birthday it is today ..I've used my favourite flower dies Spellbinders Arianna  Blooms and SW Noble Double pierced dies...
Arianna Blooms

Our grandchildren on still on holiday so I might not be around for another week as we always like to spend time with them all...

Hello Anne, I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend. I did know of her because she was in our Christmas Card Club for a short time. My thoughts and parayers are with you and her family.

This is a lovely card. I have toyed with the idea of getting this stamp and die set but can't decide between this and the Sun Kissed Fleur. I think this might have made up my mind! Love from Christine xx

It was sad to lose Karen but the one consolation is that she is no longer suffering from that so cruel illness.

Beautiful card you've made for Eileen with the really pretty flowers set off so nicely by the frames.

I'm sorry I never knew Karen but she was obviously a lovely and very creative lady and understand how you must miss her Anne. This is a really beautiful card and those flowers are gorgeous! I don't know what you have used to make them but it has a pretty sheen and soft enough to shape them really prettily. It will be so great to meet you in July! x

Oh Anne, I am deeply sorry that you have lost such dear friend. I have ready several posts about Karen's death - so many people knew her or of her blog.
I know you follow Pam who commented above - this card reminds me of Pam's work. Gorgeous - could not be prettier. Everything is so delicate - exquisitely designed and such soft pretty colors.

I only 'knew' Karen from enjoying her glorious work as I moved around Blogland, and in our Christmas Club for a while. It seemed she could just turn her hand very successfully to so many different crafts & ventures. SHe will certainly be missed, and my condolences to you for losing a friend. Always so hard to say goodbye. Your birthday card is just lovely, and I'm drooling over the fabulous dies. Sue Wilson dies are my current downfall, but I never seem to be able to use them as well as I see so many other card makers. Love the layout, the color choices, and the lovely card you've made using some fantastic products. TFS & Hope the coming week is a bit happier for you.
