I'm still here...

What a week...it all started with the present from my DH of the Ebosser, Monday we set out to get a new unit to house my new 'baby'...what was going to be one new unit turned into 4 and therefore I need to clear half of my craft room...well have you ever had that feeling of 'oh I wish I hadn't started'....
So I thought this would be  an opportunity to start to have a clear of my  20 years worth of crafting ....what a nightmare...found things I hadn't seen for years and things I had bought and forgotten about.
Anyway to cut a long story short Saturday we were starting to put in the new units and I started to put things back...then Saturday evening I just happened to say I would like another shelf...ok my hubby said' I will do it now...he started to drill and 'BANG' straight through an electric cable which blew the electrics...oh JOY....   this meant no heating or hot water etc....rang our friend an electrician who came to our aid and he sorted out our problem after a few hours ...so at midnight my DH was re plastering part of my craft room wall...Sunday he painted...and so today at least I think we are about there...still waiting delivery of the doors for my new units but at least everything is back and less of it!!  Just the other half of the room to be done but this can wait for a while now...the bin men are going to have a shock when they try to lift our paper waste...off down to the charity shop as well armed with boxes and lots of unwanted crating goodies.....

Hopefully tomorrow I will have a card to show you as I have been colouring one of my new LOTV images....

Hi Anne, I'm in a similar position, so I can appreciate where you're coming from. But to make matters worse, my DH completely emptied my craft room while I was away, and he just threw it all into large storage boxes without labelling anything! It's been a complete nightmare sorting through everything and trying to find what I need to craft. Like you, I'm finding lots of things I had forgotten I had, or had never used. It's still a long way off being completed but at least I now have my computer back. Good luck with everything, and I hope you enjoy your new Ebosser and storage units xxx

It sounds like you've been having a right old time of it, but it will be worth it when its all done and dusted!
I was going to clear out my craft room but now you've had a practise run, I'll wait until you go on your holiday, and you can come for coffee!!

Hi Anne

Lovely to have you back .. .. but what a story you have to tell.

Sounds like you have been having a stressful time.

But how lovely it will feel to have everything sorted and straight.

Have a good week.

Heavens Anne, sounds like the domino effect! Can't wait to see how you get on with your ebosser, the advantage of having a minute craft room is that I can't accommodate any more machines:)

Oh Anne - talk about Casey's Court!!! Must admit I had to stiffle a giggle (she said from the hallowed interior of her new craft room.........!). These things seem to take on a life of their own when all you wanted was one little unit. Still it started the long awaited clear out. Hope you get back to normal soon.

I knew you'd been busy thanks to the 'surprise' present but hadn't heard about the electrics too - hopefully this saga won't stop him buying any more 'surprises'!!
