Baby girl...

I finished off the baby girl version of Sassy stork image and as I am busy making samples for this months craft club didn't get chance to make another card yesterday so thought you might like to see how the girls card turned out.

Coloured with Copics and I also added a little bit of lace around the edge with also had some pink in it.  Embossed backing paper I bought a long time ago and the pink backing paper is some old Stampin Up paper and cant remember what it was called. The Sassy Cheryl images always seem to have great facial expressions dont they, but love her strand of hair with the bow in it...

Off to patchwork again today, I seem to be in bag mode at the moment and have a new pattern to try but again using scraps so I need to pull out all my fabric to see what I can find.

It's a boy.....

Just loved Sassy Cheryl's stork images so had to buy both the girl and the boy images. This is the boy one  and dont you just love the look on his face?

Coloured with copics pens, the backing paper was my bargain 8 x 8 pad from Dunelm which cost me all of £3...  a First Edition pad called 'Up and Away' it and it has some lovely glittery papers.

Used my Joy daisy dies and my SU border die...the letter are also  from the paper pad..

Its still very cold today so wont be going far, baby sitting this afternoon which is always a joy...

Double take.....

I knew as soon as I saw this gorgeous digi image from Saturated Canary I had to have her... The image is called 'Double Take'...

Coloured with both copics and pencils and I just added a little bit of glitter to her dress...backing papers are from Stampin Up and so is the lovely Fan embossing Folder.
The lace came from my lovely blogging friend Annie over in Australia...corner dies are from Whimsy Stamps.. At the moment I haven't put a sentiment on the card as I couldn't make my mind up whether it needed one or not in the top left hand corner...what do you think?

Its another very cold day here so think I will get on with some sewing and craft again tomorrow...

Love bugs.....

Its one of my daughters wedding anniversary soon and as I 'forgot' last year (slap on wrist) I thought I would make her card now using another of the gorgeous images from Pre coloured sheet from  from Sylvia Zet..
Keeping the card quite simple as my daughter doesn't like 'fussy' cards.
I've used mauves again but this time used some kraft paper...the backing papers are from an old Hot of the Press paper flair book called 'Purple Petite Prints' and the kraft papers is from one of the LOTV Nitwit paper pads 'Krafty Christmas'...
The embossed strip which you can hardly see is a Stampin Up border, Memory Box hanging hearts die, and the corners from an EK Success punch.

Off to patchwork today to do a bit more on my African Tote bag I am making, hopefull by the week end I will have a picture to show you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday wishes...

What a glorious day, the sun is out and it really does feel like spring is on its way....

On Saturday I went out with 3 friends to a craft event which really wasn't worth the effort but did pick up a couple of sheets of Sylvia Zet pre-coloured images which I fell in love with and this is one of the images.  All I have done is to add a touch of glitter to the actual image..
Backing papers are from the 'Back to Basics' pad by Dovecraft, Spellbinders lattice die for the background, the pretty border die is from Stampin Up.  Butterfly stamp is from a Simply Besotted set and I have also used a couple of Memory Box dies, Blooming Violet and  I've used some of the foliage from the Fresh Foliage die..

Double Dutch project

This was the other project we did at craft club a Double Dutch card.
Not easy to photograph but the card is made up of two bits of card the bottom piece being a small gatefold, and the top of the other piece of card is folded down the card is then closed by using ribbon or can be left open.
I've used the SU Young Vermillion stamp and SU papers on my bird card.

I used one of the 3D stickers from the Valentines sheet but made it into a Get Well card...papers also from 'Me to You' paper pack, and  have also used the SU tab punch so that I can put ribbon around the card to keep the gatefold closed.
My last sample to show you is the fabulous little Penny Black stamp and have used S.U. papers.... Sorry for the rubbish photos...
It's now time to make a start on next months projects....

Hope you are having a great weekend...

Club night...Brick wall technique

At this months Craft club meeting the two projects we did were the Brick Wall technique and also a Double Dutch card...
Here are 3 of my samples for the brick wall technique.

stamp used is for this card is an old PSX one
it has no name on it but to me its a ragged tulip.
Also used a couple of small stamps for the background.

Again another old stamp this time from
                             Inkadinkadoo and an embossing folder
This is one of my favourite Stampin Up stamp
sets called Elements of Style and have used the Tessatia die and   a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background.
Some of our ladies used actual photographs for this technique and they look great .  Will post some sample cards tomorrow of the Double Dutch card.

Well the little 'Grandies' all went home last night so today is tidy up day and changing beds!  We love having them to stay but it is hard work at times and you do forget that you are getting older!   We had a fun time as we baked biscuits, played darts played with the WI machine, did puzzles and of course a little bit of time in the craft room...
Off to make 4 commission cards now and the hope to catch up with your all lovely blogs....

A quick post this morning as I have one of my granddaughters coming over and we are going to craft...I am taking her to our local craft shop to spend a few pennies...
This is one of the new LOTV romance stamps, backing papers are Nitwits Bonnets and Bowtie pad from LOTV....corner die is from JOY...I've also used the SU heart border embossing folder and heart die.  Sorry about the  photo but its so dark this morning and this is the best I could get...als I dont find easel cards easy to photograph..

We collect another two of our grandchildren on Weds morning so there wont be much crafting this week...but I will have a couple of card samples to post later on in the week as its out Craft club night on Weds....

Something old into something new....

Whilst having my clear out in the craft room I came across a box with all sorts of images in, some just stamped and some coloured..  I did throw a lot away but some I kept to try and use up...this is one of them.
The rose is an old PSX stamp which as you can see I also shrunk down using shrink plastic and made into a tag..the  postage frame stamp is also an old one by 'Just for Fun...if I remember rightly I used a plastic template over the frame stamp dotted areas then stamped into the different areas, the script is a Hero Arts stamp...
I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background...the ribbon is actually a pretty green but for some reason has come out looking brownish...

Anniversary Surprise....

Nice to be back in my craft room again after a week I was starting to get withdrawl symptons...lOl..lOl..

I inked up and stamped one of my new LOTV images called Anniversary Surprise...Cololured with copics and mounted onto a Nestie frame.
Backing paper is from one of LOTV Nitwit Collections called 'Promises', the rose leaves are Cheery Lynne Leaf Flourish die and the sentiment is from Craftwork cards.

We've had such a mix of weather today, I popped into town first thing this morning and it was snowing heavily but by the time I had got home it had stopped and now we have glorious sunshine....

Thanks for popping by...

Monday 4 February 2013

I'm still here...

What a week...it all started with the present from my DH of the Ebosser, Monday we set out to get a new unit to house my new 'baby'...what was going to be one new unit turned into 4 and therefore I need to clear half of my craft room...well have you ever had that feeling of 'oh I wish I hadn't started'....
So I thought this would be  an opportunity to start to have a clear of my  20 years worth of crafting ....what a nightmare...found things I hadn't seen for years and things I had bought and forgotten about.
Anyway to cut a long story short Saturday we were starting to put in the new units and I started to put things back...then Saturday evening I just happened to say I would like another shelf...ok my hubby said' I will do it now...he started to drill and 'BANG' straight through an electric cable which blew the electrics...oh JOY....   this meant no heating or hot water etc....rang our friend an electrician who came to our aid and he sorted out our problem after a few hours ...so at midnight my DH was re plastering part of my craft room wall...Sunday he painted...and so today at least I think we are about there...still waiting delivery of the doors for my new units but at least everything is back and less of it!!  Just the other half of the room to be done but this can wait for a while now...the bin men are going to have a shock when they try to lift our paper waste...off down to the charity shop as well armed with boxes and lots of unwanted crating goodies.....

Hopefully tomorrow I will have a card to show you as I have been colouring one of my new LOTV images....
