HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

I would like to raise a glass to all my lovely blogging friends and also blog visitors and wish you all A Very Happy and Healthly New Year....and may 2012 be kind to us all.
The stamps I've used on my card today were lent to me by my friend Karen but we don't know who they were made by OR what the set is called.  All Karen remembers is she saw the set in the Craft Stampers, SO if everyone can tell us who's make this stamp set is we would apprecialte it!
Papers used on my card are all from Stampin Up......

Less is More challenge......one word

Where is Christmas go??  Hope you all had a lovely time and were spoilt with lots of crafting goodies?
Its nice to get back into the craft room and make a card.. The Less is More challenge this week is ONE WORD....
This little stamp hasn't seen the light of day for a very long time and was ideal for this weeks challenge, its a Stampendous stamp called 'A joyful noise'...
Coloured with Copics and mounted onto a Nestie, I've used the Crafts concept embossing called 'in stitches' to give a bit of texture to the background, sentiment was computer generated.

Crafty Bunch project......

We had our last Crafty Bunch meeting on Wednesday for this year  so we did a small project which was the Mars Bar snowmen... For a change the girls did a bit of sewing rather than card making.   The image I found on the internet...instead of buying felt I bought a Red throw from Tesco's (they come in other colours) as the throw was much softer to stitch than felt, we cut a piece 6" x 2" just stitched down the length turned it inside out popped it onto our covered Mar Bar, gathered up where we wanted to have the thread with the bells on, then cut down from the top to make the fringes on his hat...so simple and so quick.  You can do this with any size bar of chocolate, one of our ladies suggested putting onto a Wine bottle which was a clever idea.
After our little bit of sewing we then all tucked into some lovely Christmas food....

I wont be posting again now until Monday as we have 3 grandchildren staying tomorrow because we are off see the Pantomime in Yeovil, "OH YES WE ARE"....and afterwards we will take them out to eat before playing games tomorrow night...think we will need a rest Sunday evening after we have delivered them all back home...lOl...lOl..

Thanks for looking

Less is More challenge... One Layer

I cant believe that I haven't posted for over a week....where has this week gone??  I've been trying to play 'catch-up' all week with lots going on.  I have a poorly husband who has a lung infection, nativity plays to see as well as finishing all the Christmas cards and trying to buy the last of our Christmas presents.  Tonight we also have our Crafty Bunch Christmas party, we will still do one project which I will show you tomorrow then have our food...
Anyway back to my card for the LIM challenge which is a One Layer card called 'Let it Snow'  . I've used this lovely stamp from Stampin Up called 'Silent Night'...just stamped and little colour and a bit of glitter and snow added and its done....it needed to be something quick today as I am off to my patchwork class soon.

Penny Black challenge...week 180

Isn't it amazing how many different whites there are out there?  After getting all the elements ready to put together on my card I noticed that the Neenah card that I use for stamping on a quite a different white...stilll it is WHITE and actually stand out from the background.
The little dog is a Penny Black stamp called 'Merry Puppy'...coloured with copics and put onto a nesties.
I've used  a couple of embossing folders, one is the Crafts Too dots and also Cuttlebug Mistletoe, Sizzix Mistletoe die, punches used, Martha Stewart snowflake and fence, both ovals are from Stampin up.
Off now to feed my christmas cake with more brandy and then I am going to tackle the ironing....

Hope you all have a great week end.
